I'll start with a positive... Ben Youcef was in the break...
Now that's done, can I ask a question Matt? Who was my rider close to the front in the image with 1km to go, and where the fuck did he go when the sprint happened? I have someone 4th place, well positioned before the sprint (guessing it is Krieger from his number on the back ending in a 1), and he ends up 47th place in the result... seriously... WTF??
maybe it was Youcef?
every rider of your team has the same numebr in PCM15 I guess...
That depends on whether the reporter has individual rider textures on or not.
Strange stage that one, no idea what happened to Salleh but his no show here makes the GC podium so much harder now, at least he should still have a chance at the points jersey with none of the top sprinters scoring well towards it on this stage.
Hopefully the breaks will be smaller and less dangerous on the remaining stages as I'm sure that's having an effect on the sprint preparations by making leadout riders to tired for teams to get organised.

Stage 4 was a bit odd.
Everyone but Docker is scared of a little wind it seems, congrats to BBO.
The stage/break/wind too hard for our support riders again. Stauff needs some luck to move up in GC.
Good variety of results in this unpredictable race, looking forward to seeing the next stages (with fingers crossed), thanks as ever for the reports Matt.

Holy crap! He actually did it! He finally decided to take a risk, which was a smart move since his acceleration is his week point. Hopefully this is the start of a trend and not an outlier!

Salleh again struggling to just 20th place in the sprint is disappointing but at least he wasn't behind the split like all his teammates were. Maybe that's why he is struggling the longer the race goes on as he doesn't have strong teammates to protect and help him like the other favourites do. I'm not sure who I could have sent to be a strong help in the wind unless I didn't loan out Mundle for the year though.

Scully, where have you been for 6 months? You've put us on track for two in the top 10 and maybe another shot at a stage win. Shame to see Jams slipping down the rankings a bit but still doing well for a guy that can't gain time in any way. Gudsell continues his aggression which sadly hasn't paid off yet, but good to see.

What the hell? Drucker you were brought here for these situations, and you can't even survive an echolon?
Mezgec again horribly far too early...

Krieger's inconsistency is back! 47th on stage 4 and 3rd here! Obviously I am happier with the stage 5 result!
Ben Youcef in the break again is nice and thanks matt for the report

'Twas pretty average, seems even when he does sprint Scully's not all that all the time
EDIT: Apparently this Bongo goes for 6, good to get a top 5 GC! Thanks for always excellent reports Matt!

The GC was lost yesterday, but it's fine. I came here with no expectations and I got a stage win out of it. Docker is at least trying now, so I can't be disappointed.
Great reporting Matt! Very detailed and easy to follow, and with rapid speed!

That was a hard race so pretty pleased with 2nd GC and the points jersey for Stauff.
Congrats to jaxika, nice move on stage 5
Great reports Matt, thanks

Dahlberg, Giaux and Haavardsholm swept up Top 10s like cheap TVs, Torckler finally did something competent- third win of the year! Second yellow spell of the year! 3RD ON GC!
God, I've suddenly come over all dizzy.

Nice to have Krieger finish off the race with a 2nd place, and secure a Top 10 on GC. Nowhere near our win goal, but I had to go with that in our home race.
Thanks for all the reports matt!

Got to say I was hoping for better than 6th on GC coming into this one and thought Salleh should have been capable of a podium and top 5 minimum so this does feel like a let down despite it still netting us a decent amount of points.
He seemed to refind some form on the last stage but after 2 very poor stages earlier it was too little too late. In future I'll need stronger domestiques as the breaks that got away were too big and dangerous for GC.
