Well i think 2017 Team Sky is something very different. Fending off a barage of doping accusations both inside the sport and at high level of UK government due to their links with GB cycling. The team is strong in riders yes, but with Sky itself no-longer being the primary GB Cycling sponsor and being bought out by Fox there are many questions and issues for it to tackle.
Giving it a new management would be unique as the team tries to recover and re-establish itself a cycling team for all to support.
It terms or rewriting the future there's very few WT teams that would be as conceptually unique as Team Sky in 2017, with most just carrying on as normal compared the massive unheaval Sky could undergo.
But you know, whatever. Might as well take a team no-one's hear of or is particularly interesting... so might as well claim 7 Eleven-Sava RBP and make the Phillipenes a powerhouse of cycling in 2017!

- Tom Boonen & Tony Martin @ the_hoyle: normally I'd say that this
Each player can only have one world-class rider/talent
rules the possibility out, but with Boonen I guess it's a different case with the retirement plans.
Still I'd give others 48 hours from the claiming post on to make claims on the same rider (talking only about the world-class ones), to see if anybody wants a rider of those with real passion - and then let the motivation of taking the rider decide. If nobody scratches in in that time you can have both of them due to the retirement date as they then count as 1,4 superstars
Well, hello. You may know me. And you also may know what I want. Tony Martin.

Looked at a few teams so have some lower level ones I could fall back on but I think that one of my favourite teams, with their riders, their goals, their identity and what they ride for has got to be Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka. Starting off with the Qhubeka charity it's part of the WBR (World Bicycle Relief) charity in South Africa giving bikes to those who couldn't get them and providing maintenance and safety courses, which they estimate gives a 75% reduction in commuting time to work and school and a 21% incline in school attendance rates. I could go on for a while but basically even if it's in-game it's a charity I'd love to support and manage a team that rides for it.
Dimension Data have a few of my favourite riders - notably Cummings and EBH so I'd love to manage them and work with whoever they get claimed by. That goes for the entire team though, a wonderful and talented mix of African, Australian (it pains me to put "Wonderful" and "Australian" together) and European, with a couple of Americans for good measure. They have young talents (Kudus, O'Conner, and more) and older heads (Eisel, Cummings, Renshaw) for a good blend of riders altogether.
Their position of just holding on to a WT license is interesting too - if a PCT team is ready to come up next year they'll have to avoid being forced to go down and although they have superstar Mark Cavendish and legend Edvald Boasson Hagen, they're no Team Sky. They'll have to rely on nit, grit and a whole lot of spirit to stay up, somethign which will be interesting but somethign I believe this team can do under the right guidance. I hope I've proved I could be that guide

15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

As I am unable to have two superstars, I will swap Boonen for Owain Doull

confirmed: Chaves, Verandas Willems - Crelan, Owain Doull
Tony Martin will go to the_hoyle if there is no convincing post for the other way round in the interaction thread in the next 24 hours
Dimension Data will go to jandal7 if no interest from others comes soon
TMM can decide whether he wants to take up Sky or 7 Eleven-Sava RBP or even both, as I guess it would be great for the game either way

If I claim Bora, can I effect the training and schedule of one rider and vaguely ignore all others?
If not, I'd like to claim Tabriz, although I have questions about them to.
EDIT: Actually maybe just take Tabriz

I only want one team to do it justice. Sky would be preffered so i'll work on them and run things in an interesting new way. #MakeSkyGreatAgain

would of course dislike the first option, cause that is what the rider option is intended to do
Tabriz sounds great though
Also Power, Haig, Gesink, Sky, Colbrelli, Boem and Bettiol confirmed
Great Post Yellow Jersey!

And, for participating myself now, I'm doing my avatar justice and take over Tanel Kangert.

Costa confirmed - also Tony Martin --> the_hoyle confirmed, as he was the first to claim him and I haven't seen any post that should be convincing for making it the other way round
I'd claim Valens Ndayisenga too, that makes it 2 riders for me A team still to choose...

I would like to claim AG2r-la Mondiale as I think the team contains riders to be able to compete in every aspect of cycling now. And I would like to pull this talent mass to victory. Yiha |

AG2R confirmed
Surely there is absolutely no problem with that Ollfahrd. Only thing might have been a if you had some January season goals for what you would have to pick up an intense amount of form, but I guess that that's not the case with your riders
it's in generally possible to do posts at any time, same for SignUps that are of course open all season long...
