My God. Someone had his Weetabix this morning.

Lobauer domination
Martinez good at the front, might have expected a better placement in the sprint though. And Weiss needs to get into a break soon...

Well, a bit disapointing we're not in the break when we are the weakest team here. Crosses the fingers for tomorrows stage.
Thank you TR! |

Docker was there but didn't seem to have the sprint.
Oh yeah, I forgot that Garby is really here for the Youth Classification.

Lobauer Good to see Jonny and Ole safe and sound in the pack, but great to see Novardianto with a great day out in our first break 2nd on GC and our first leader's jersey in the youth classification is a nice reward, and with just a second to 1st maybe splits could go our way

Gratz Paul! Convincing opening here.
Good start for Garby not getting gapped by the better puncheur climbers here.

Mat Senan was surprisingly impressive for us, I thought that was bound to be either Kung or Zoidl up there instead.
Speaking of those 2 it's good that neither of them lost any time, Roll on stage 2.

That's the holy spirit of Simon Geschke
He's doing again exactly like he did for me while in CT. I'm so glad to see him performing again after a quiet PCT season
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

PCM 15 and those very 1-2 in sprints happening incredibly often in not completely flat sprints is a joy for some teams and a pain for others... it was Paul's turn this, congrats! Geschke will be great this year as he's proving.

this went stunningly perfect! Tennant lost time for breakaways, Anton is the clear leader and looks solid at the front - I´m hyped

I also forgot to mention about the preview that the final sprint stage is probably going to be more determined by recovery than mountains. Razzie historically does well late in this race and he definitely isn't shooting up any climbs with his 52/50 mtn/hill. That being said Docker has 69 mountain so if that does affect it I'm definitely happy.

Well done Paul, Geschke looking like he was worth every penny .
Very pleased with 4th and 9th on this stage, wasn't expecting anything. Hope Hacecký's top ten means he has some good legs for this race.

The mountain stat might effect whether they make it to the final stage more than how they do on that stage, that said I've won that final stage thanks to a solo break by nearly 30 minutes before so anything can happen on it, (and I think that was the year I only sent 5 riders and walked away with 3rd and 6th on GC as well.)

Would think a stage like this would be more selective, surprising but perfect for Geschke.

Don't know what we worked for, but at least the first GC contender is out of sight now (by a crash or sth else?) - cracking Hacecky would've also been good at he's one of the Top5 climbers here...
Tvetcov with a first shout here - and Löbau with a great race...
we need some time gaps, play your ACC advantage Anton!

Mixed feelings, Jama dropped and so too Hirschlein, if he recovers from his crash maybe stage win > top 10? Certainly license to kill with 28 minute buffer.

Geschke being awesome yet again A pity to see Docker blocked, as he looked to have a strong late kick. Hopefully he can grab a stage win later on.
