Bewley probably wins, as always
As for Orange, the Omloop disappointment makes me kinda pessimistic. We have more than one string to our bow, but we'll see. |

Looks like this is once again Bewley's race to lose.
A win would be perfect. Probably can't have any lower hopes for Sam here. This is probably the best chance to beat him in a cobble race though. Should be interesting.

Rowe and Trentin being where they should be, but just not even close in the finish. Very disapointing, to be honest. To be beaten by Peter Kennaugh in a race like this is close to a disaster
Surprising to see Cavendish taking the win, but congrats to Smowz on that one!

Thought Bewley was going to dominate this one as well... but he didn't
Good report, hoyle!

Meh. 4th is okay but I hoped for a more selective race. Good minor points from my domestiques make it a decent race though.

WOOOOOOOT!
Okay - I was doing classic SotD moaning and whining before this race and then bingo. Looks like I owe Count a bung or two, perhaps a parachute payment to help his PCT campaign next year whilst we wave from PT (nah we are still screwed but at least we have this).
Great start to the year from Cav, I was feeling pretty silly when I saw fat Gez win that PCT flat classic but now I feel I have traded my chips in. Very pleased and surprised that he made the cut, then again his manx mate and fellow big mouth Kennaugh also made it so those that risked the sprinters were not disappointted.
Am I the only one who is finding the picture size a bit heavy, I always jpeged those pngs, i guess that is an extra thing?
Second: A further 6 riders, including Kristof Vandewalle, Patrick Olesen and Arnaud Grand tried to join the trio off the front, but sadly the peleton felt that was too large of a group. Okay who were the other three?
Cannot fault excellent pace of reporting (and I put money on another rider in the betting too )

Well Bewley clearly is not as strong in sprints this year as he once was... 3rd place is still a good result I believe though. However what a win for Cavendish, congrats Smowz! Nice podium for Kristoff and ember as well, great result! Thanks for the report!

So many people going all in on Bewley again and losing it all I bet
Well that was unexpected for sure, but this might be a sign Bewley won't be as dominating as he was last year. It has to be said that in a race where cobbles are not many and so far from the finish anything could have happened, but certainly it comes as strange that Cav had the most energies left at the finish.
But gratz smowzy! And great report once more hoyle!

@smowz: The other 3 riders who went for the breakaway were ones I forgot to take note of, and weren't mentioned in the in-game report when I wanted to check it - sorry!
And the images are .jpeg, as they were converted from .png

Finally Tom David got himself a good oneday race result. It is two years since last...
Also very cool to see Cavendish win this race instead of it just being Bewley everytime. Nejc Kosic must be the worst cobbled rider ever.

Again, nice to see Spanish Champion in break. Kluge improved a bit, but that´s all. At least, Bewley didn´t win Congratz Smowz and thanks for nice report t_h.

Vandenbergh getting dropped multiple times was pretty rubbish. At least we got one top 10 from this double header, more than I was expecting from both races.
Thanks again the hoyle. |

Well I guessed that Cav could give this a run earlier, and seems I was right about that. Happy with Summerhill finishing in the top group taking points away from some poor souls that probably needed them.

Thanks for the report Hoyle.
Well that's an adequate result from Stallaert. 8th and 15th will do for us in the least cobbled of the cobbled classics.
Congrats smowz. I'll take that parachute payment if you don't mind

Congrats to the Manx Missile. Sprint finish didn't favor Altur at all. So-so start to the season for him after a nice 8th at Omloop Het Niewsblad.
I think as a team we are doing enough so far too just stay out of the drop zone, I hope.
