I'm surprised Ciolek even got a mention, we have a single rider above 70 TT here so there's really no point to ever mention his GC position in this race.

Well had hoped for something better, but time for Ahlstrand to shine! |

Well, he crossed the line together with Fiedler. That alone is worth the mention
Must admit, that I didn't expect that huge gaps here. Again some overperformers with Dennis and Bontenackels in particular. We know the deal by now though.

Wind Wind Wind
taking into account the time from Kupfernagel, I think this stage used the PRL and not the TT. Otherwise it would not be possible to have done the time that he did...
3 in the top15 not a bad start

Dennis did really well, much better than Stannard who didn't produce the magic so all is well atm... Really think that it will be one of the TTers that will win, based on that TTT, unless some breaks interfere with matters - then things may change
All in all, this is a good stage, gives us a platform for a decent GC, hope Rowe is up to the mark here now...

Didn't win in the TT-bingo this time. Hopefully we can be on the attack and show ourselves, before that TTT.

Loved those sprint screenshots. Groenewegen in a perfect position...Groenewegen with a 2m gap...Groenewegen losing ground to a couple of riders...Groenewegen comes in as 8th.
I guess the 71 flat only is hurting him in the long sprints yet. Though I can`t complain as he at least participates different to early season.
A bit unlucky that two time trialists in Frison and Vandewalle lost time today as in ideal case all time trialists would have a GC chance with a TTT here. But as long as Schädlich, Boom, Dumoulin finish high in the end, I might not complain. |

That sprint set up tho xD
wow... 12th, 13th and 14th is great for consistency (and a couple of pts) but we need to get these problems sorted for the next stage

All riders not losing time is great keeps them up there in GC but that will be harder in the coming stages with bigger crosswinds.
Regarding the first stage as can be seen by Roturns reaction gaining 10 seconds on Schädlich is a good advantage to have and one I did not expect too have with too riders as Meier massively overperforms. Maybe Cornu and Fiedler gained too much time but we "should" 75% of the time beat their teams in the TTT same for Dennis so all looking good so far. |

Look Kevin, I know you're not going to win here, but could you at least try to get a top 10 or something? Top 20 if you're having a bad day?
Nice work from Breznik, showing his jersey and at least he's trying something.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

So close... 2nd still a nice result but he seems too have reached his max. Shame as this probably Guillens best race all year. Way more fun now that he actually takes part in the sprints though
Also happy with the TT from Erviti, didnt see 11th place from him there comming. Salas slightly dissapointing so far.

5 is not the best result ever, but it is still a good result taking into account the quality of opponents

Great leadout, Ciolek didn't have to do much there to seal the win.
I think Giaux/Lander is the least attuned combination, so it's good to see it works too.
Don't stop here though, we probably can't win every flat stage, but consistency is obligatory to have a good shot at green, which is worth another full stage win at the end.

Shit race, Ahlstrand only 9th and the only one from our team in the front group.
Doesn't really care how the TTT goes now when all riders already gone in the GC.....
But thanks for the reports so far. |

6/7 riders in the front group and we take the white jersey we are riding smart but all it takes is one piece of bad luck and it means nothing as Dennis and co found out here |

well that went well... Stannard keeps hopes of a decent GC alive staying in the first group with Lampier, the rest obviously tried to help Dennis. Really hope the race will be selective from now on, as this would be the best way for us to do well - getting in breaks may no longer be a problem as well

Did not expect a good result here, but so far this has been brutal. Nizzolo still looks like he is suffering from a crash several races ago. The rest of the team looks lost. Not even getting to the breaks.
Yuck!

Argh come on...in a race where a TTT could see many riders finishing high only 3 are left without time loss.
Groenewegen 3rd great though. Small compensation. |

Not superhappy, but content with that stage. Our most important guys on the right side of the the split. A pity that Clarke couldn't follow though. He was looking for a good GC position with the bonus seconds he got.
Nice to see Lander doing such a good job, congrats Cio(lek).
