Funny that Ford delivers again, i have never seen him having a day off.
It's strange, yap. Bar a few TTs late in stage races, he's definitely our most consistent performer in timetrials. Given the randomness in some (short) TTs now, that's a nice 3rd for him today.
It's still some sort of panic mode, given that we do have at least two goal races, where we heavily depend on a (T)TT. But anyway, prologues may be a different level than longer parcours - here's hoping at least.
Congrats to Vesuvio and Kittel!
And in your face, Smowzy

Only 10 seconds lost to the best GC rider must be a good start for Martin, but on the other hand 27 seconds behind the winner feels like a lot
But that's what you get with a 71 prologue stat, so no surprises there.
Hopefully we'll get through the next couple of flat stages without any GC contenders crashing out or loosing time in an unnecessary way.
Congratulations on the win, SN! |

If it helps, he was just 4 seconds slower than Zmorka who has 80 prologue stat.

A bit disappointing that Tenorio didn't even get a top 10 finish, atleast he managed to finish in front of the other favorites. A good ride from Viviani though.

Same as Tenorio, I expected a little bit more from Kritskiy, (some riders over performed big time, like Silvio Herklotz-PR72 and Vadim Ratiy-PR74). Still on track though for that top-10 for Kritskiy.

Great to see my loaned out rider, Howson, performing so good. Didn't expect that from him, to be honest.

Fab what the frigging hell are you doing - get back in the wind tunnel you primadonna....
....chrono's not going well so far this year... omloop I accept resonsibility, but Qatar and Terrible Tirrano yes Fab that is on you.
Skittles wins - Vesuvio off like a rocket. 3rd place for Oz Cycling, no doubt tsmoha still not going to upgrade poor start to year though

Dont know what to think. Spilak is clearly the favorite, but that usually doesnt mean that he wins.

Oh my god Arnaud...looking at the results, 4th was yours to take.
On the other hand, Puma riders in 4th and 6th overall looks very nice. Shame that's not even enough for white.

Panda power from Martin and 8th on a flat stage. I'll certainly take that! That should be a good sign for the flat stages, meaning he's likely to positon himself well. Also nice to have Breen and Stake Laengen in the first group.
Powerful sprint from Degenkolb, leaving no questions about who was the fastest there. Definitely the big favourite to add another one on stage 3. Congratulations, beagle!
And thanks for the report, Gustavovskiy! Though, I think Venchi might disagree slightly on "no GC riders loosing contact", as Duarte was 4'22 behind. He was obviously not a threat for a top 10 anyway, but still their leader. |

Happy to see Pozzovivo/Morton finishing safely in the first peloton. Obviously won't expect anything from those sprints, as I decided to send Von Hoff to Bayern (a mistake, as things went so far).. so as long as my GC-riders do well, I don't mind who's taking the stages here
Pretty "easy" thing for Dege. Wondering if he can repeat this stuff.. Bummer for Roelandts in particular. Didn't see him suffering here (or whatever happened to him - bad positioning maybe).

Ditto for Fothen. Was quite surprised when I saw him down there with Duarte. At least Ratiy is performing well so far. He had a great prologue.
