I'm glad we've been given the opportunity to be able to race MSR this year. Avelino and Costa will certainly be present, with modest hopes of having an impact on the race.

Some great selections there especially with the cobbled classics seeing some iconic riders returning.

Looking forward for the rest of these. Thanks for the work SN Wink

Now for stage races, and the first time these races will see 2 PCT wildcards. It's a fortunate change as there are a total of 12 stage races, and 16 teams wanted to be involved.

Tour of QatarAegon - LavazzaSwedbank - PEAB
Omloop Het VolkAzteca - NBCSNTeam Bpost
Tirreno-AdriaticoSiam Cement - LenovoTeam Puma - SAP
Paris-NiceGazelleSwedbank - PEAB
Vuelta al Pais VascoBonsucroBuff - Polska
Tour of CaliforniaPrio - PortoSiam Cement - Lenovo
Tour de SuisseChildren of ChernobylTeam Vontobel

Deutschland TourTeam Puma - SAPTeam TomTom
Vuelta a ColombiaBank of IrelandGrupo Nutresa
Tour of Northern EuropeKarcher - AdiraTeam Bpost
Tour of TasmaniaTeam VontobelBank of Ireland

The most popular race was the Tour de Suisse, with 12 teams wanting to be involved. Swiss team Team Vontobel are one of the two teams to be invited here. Another notable nationality wildcards will see Jay McCarthy ride the Tour of Tasmania, Team Puma-SAP racing the Deutschland Tour once again, and Grupo Nutresa making their Vuelta a Colombia debut.

Well known for their Cobbles and TTT strengths (although the latter has been weakened during transfers), Team Bpost will make for a very interesting presence at Omloop Het Volk. Meanwhile Vuelta buddies Bonsucro and Buff-Polska are together once again at Vuelta al Pais Vasco.

Ohh, Deutschland Tour is nice Grin

Shame Hugenhaben can't be at Paris-Nice, but that's fair, we're happy with Deutschland Grin

Nice I got my two choices... It will be important to develop some of the young riders, and I think we can be a good surprise in both races

Qatar and Dauphinee are excellent for my team. No important clashes and strong squads for sure.
Really love to get the chance to ride there.

Suisse profile suited my team a bit more, but I liked Dauphinee a lot more and after last years nice GC there, I had to come back.

Thrilled to go to a Monument at Paris-Roubaix! Also happy about Omloop Het Volk, Summerhill will get the square off against the best cobblers in the world.

Thanks for these great opportunities at Tour de Swiss and Tasmania. Team Vontobel will do it's best to justify the selection.

Hmmm really thought I'd get to ride both the cobbled monuments. Oh well at least we are in RVV again.

Happy to get the Omloop and Northern Europe stage races.

Swedbank - PEAB thanks for the opportunities to ride in PT and longing to test thier strenght against the best teams.

Will be nice to see what Ahlstrand & co can do in Qatar.

Also nice to be a part of such a nice race as Paris-Nice.

AMEX-Navigon is extremely please to have been offered a Wildcard slot on the Rhonde Van Vlaandaren for the 2nd year in a row. Last season Matti Breschel finished 9th this year both Breschel and Jerome Baugnies will be shooting for higher finishes.

Competition for the PT Wildcards was much stiffer this season and I think that is great for the PCT. In order to be selected you will need to not just pay the banker and show up, now you must show you are the right team for the Wildcards you applied for. AMEX-Navigon was closed out of two Hilly and one Sprinters race and the decisions were the right ones., as AMEX-Navigon had a weak projected squad and the teams selected were much stromger.

Well done and I hope the process continues to draw high interest and that the most deserving teams are selected.

Yay! Suisse is excellent, nice race for Lobov to get 18 free xp points. Probably won't have any real leader, but I should be able to bring a team which will feature in the breaks quite a bit Wink

Shame I didn't get Paris Nice as well, but I don't really care, Giro + Suisse is an awesome combination of races to ride Smile

Siam Cement get to ride the only Asian ProTour race, while Prio-Porto can fly the Portugese flag at the Lisbon Classic - with this being the first time in a long time that there has been no Portugese PT team.

All teams applying for classics have received 2 or 3 races. This is except for Azteca, who only applied for 1, and form an American continent invasion to the Strada Appia Antica along with Amex.

The TTT event. Tsmoha beware. Pfft

We're very happy to have been re-invited to Deutschland Tour after already successfully spoiling the party for the PT teams last season.

Obviously, Ciolek will return again, and we should be able to field our 8 strongest riders in one of our highlights of the season.

Furthermore, we're surprised and honoured to also receive a wildcard for Tirreno-Adriatico, which initially was only included in case we slipped down the list.

Our mountain squad will lead there, and the rest of the squad has to be decided during race planning as in contrary to Deutschland Tour, we have some clashes for this race and have to assess which spare riders we have left.

Happy to be at Paris-Nice. It's a good match for Gazelle, because it's hilly and doesn't clash with races that are important to us. This means we can send a strong team there.

Very happy with everything we got, all fitting for Summerhill, so probably got what we deserved and missed out on everything else.

Scorchio
Having just stepped off the plane from Europe having attended various press calls surrounding the announcement of wildcards to the Grand Tours of the sport, Nutresa GM Scorchio is delighted to pick up on various messages that have arrived while in the air confirming a whole raft of additional wildcard appearances at prestiguous PT ranked events for the Nutresa team.

Responding to various requests from journalists, a short press-statement has rapidly been dictated:

Grupo Nutresa are delighted to have been acknowledged by the organisers of some of the most prestigious races in cycing with invitations for the 2015 season. Following the teams successgul debut season having clinched the Continental Tour division championship, meticulous preparations have since been put in place to grow the organisation in preparation for the step up to the PCT division. With the kudos of an invitation to the world's biggest bike race, the Tour de France already announced, team management are also delighted to confirm various other invitations have been secured to attend 2 out of 3 of the ardennes classics week, the Fleche-Wallone and Liege-Bastogne-Liege. The GP Liechtenstein has also been added to our race calendar alongside the Vuelta a Colombia, where we will be able to race in front of the passionate cycling fans and team supporters from our home country.

We have assured race organisers that we will attend with our strongest possible contingent of riders, and it is likely that Domenik Klemme, Andrew Talansky, Esteban Chaves and Eduard Alexander Beltran will line-up at all of the PT level races we have been invited to this season subject to injury or illness. The other 4 places at each event will be decided upon race form in the rmonths leading up to each event, proving extra motivation for our other squad members to grasp the opportunity to ride at the highest level and against the most famous bike riders of our generation.

With the support of our great sponsors, Grupo Nutresa, Evraz and Hexacta we are in an excellent position entering the 2015 season. We would like to thank all of the race organisers involved for awarding us highly prized invitations to their race events, and we intend to honour the faith placed in our team by our performances on the road.

Ouch, some strong PCT leaders coming to PT races to spoil the party and potentially some goals for our teams. Grin
