Last race of the season. Let's finish this the way it all started - in complete mediocrity.

Goodbye ProTour, you'll be missed.
I wonder what Vesuvio will do here, but my money is on Ponzi. Hopefully we'll have a great race to end the season. Thanks for another race Selwink

Congrats Heine.
Was expected.
Still disappointed a bit. Except for the early break no single mention of my team. Not good when we had to attack.
Good bye PT.
Now it's hope for getting my team under 2.5 mio after renewals. |

Wow, what a way for Lotto to leave. You couldn't have scripted it any better.

As we long suspected Rothaus go down, but what a great fight for roturns team let's expect a strong response. But there will be some hungry PCT guys down there! Now your being compared to Boeing Bulgaria already welcome to the PCT ranks
Now if LLS had finished say 2nd or 3rd there in that group and Pozzato and Klemme say had finished a bit lower would that have made a difference?
Fitting for Cunego with the Giro/Lombardia double always a good race for him this one with it having long hard steep hills, a stamina test and highly selective. It is a surprise that he hasn't won it more times perhaps I guess the brilliance of Frank Schleck is partly to blame.
For Frank Schleck this was a race where his old legs were not up to it and he seemed to burn his tactical matches early anyway. Perhaps you could argue he was racing to win rather than some of his rivals who seemed happy to let Cunego go and battle for scraps.
Thanks Selwink for the report one of a number of new blood reporter out there and that is very nice for the ManGame!

Disappointing result. I know I'm not a force in the hills but this is just awful.
Thanks for the report, Selwink!

Wow the legend did it once more! What a way to go out for Lotto and whether Cunego can keep up with the best next season remains to be seen.
Congratulations to VW and commiserations to Rothaus, this was an entertaining fight with some strong recent performances.
Thanks to Selwink for a great monument report, you're doing a fine job!

You know you don't have to do that?

Nice attempt by Dzamastagic in his last race for Pokerstars once again proving what a brilliant talent he is.
Sad to see Rothaus going down. Well see us in PCT next year.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Damn, what an awful race. 3 in the front group, but no hint of an attack at all. Stats wise the Schlecks should have been right up there with their H/M combinations.
Don't think Lotto really needed that as a 'fitting end'. Cunego already won the Giro while Rin was still vaguely interested this season. Much prefer it if riders from active teams win all the races!

I know Cio. And I won`t 100%.
But I would like to release gomez Marchante and Ballan pre renewals.
Then have my team on 2.5mio plus Roux. So even if I don`t get any FA`s I would have my team ready. |

Anticlimactic this one was. None of the struggling teams happened to be involved in the mix for the win...
Well congratulations to Wikipedia for their title.
Now onto trying not to become too worse with all this lack of success and relegationess.

Hm, can I just move up to the PT? This is by far my best classic result of the season. I had already given up on this when suddenly Pozzovivo comes out of nowhere and just crushes everybody in the sprint. To bad it wasn't for first.

2 in the top 10's pretty good - enough to move us into the top 10 [after Festina's nightmare]?

Good tactics from my squad, one rider blanketing LLS and the others not using to much power so that they can grab the best possible positions in whatever group they end up in. Securing PT one more year!
One of the "faults" of the man-game, that the riders never know the situation of the team, so that they will not fight extra to avoid relegation / win the division in the last races. Nothing we can do about it though

You underestimate my skill in destroying the squad during transfers ;-)
Sad that I have to celebrate while Rothaus relegate, but I can't avoid it... Many teams I would rather see going down

Pity to miss my goal of winning, but Ponzi attacked too many times I think. Caruso as the secondary leader should have attacked and tried it that way again.
Still, happy to secure 3rd in the rankings with that! Super performance all year round by both my team and the reporters of all these races. They're excellent quality and nail bitingly written, even if the race doesn't neccessarily pan out how I'd like.
Still, can't be as bad as Ricco's race.
