So today Chicchi was outsprinted by Gyurov and Izagirre... Yet another acomplishment for the worlds slowest Italian sprinter! Christ almighty was keeping him the single biggest mistake, possibly in man-game history

Well. In my first 2 years I gave Cucinotta a chance. One of those other Italian slow-men.
I think he never came any close to a good result but got a win in the unofficial crit series once.

Too bad Will Ford sent down. Had minor hopes for him to finish inside Top-25 here
Ignatiev showing some strength, guess he will be a threat for bonus seconds in every stage then. Koren as 20th at least showing interest.

I could care less about Barrio getting dropped. I got a gut feeling Plaza is the man and will power past the punchuers on the climb tomorrow.
He finished 19th today so that's a good sign he is at least in the front of the peloton. Big gamble to bring him and not Cobo, so hopefully it pays off.

I raise you Sonnery. 63rd. Better sprint stat than 1st and 2nd. |

Nice to see some realistic time gaps on this stage.
Big win for SN (once again).
Also Craven with a big step for Venchi, while others have limited the loss like Koren or Ignatiev.
Awful stage for Reus, Plaza and Mehr-Wenige. First two at least with chances to top10 after the TT. |

Well, that couldn't have gone much worse.
Come on Plaza, you are better than that. And Barrio... WTH.

Great ride by Koren, Top-5 is the goal now! Guess except of Kump, those guys ahead will be out of reach, but 5th place would be fine.. Also Rogers did quite well, maybe he can go for a Top-15 or something like that?! Now to avoid any drama and a good daily form in the TT!
Good to see Will Ford in the break

You said it. Literally no idea how Reus was dropped by some of those guys - he should at least equal Koren - especially with his good Mountain stat as well. Hopefully he can top 10 and Mandri can top 15 to salvage something

Marko Kump sitting 4th in the GC and with a super slim lead in the Points race. A good start for him and since he can sprint fairly well he has a chance to stay up near the top. The TT will likely kill his top10 hopes.
We need to get some more points in these flatter stages.

Proud that Armindo Fonseca was named a top5 favourite for stage 1... even if he couldn't live up to the expectations.
Second stage went great. Was a smart move from Reto Hollenstein to stay with Tiernan-Locke, at least much better than trying to stay with the PCT-top-contenders and fail. He still can improve from the already nice 14th spot due to the TT.

Sonnery, my Great Grandfather could sprint faster than that. Absolutely disgraceful.
Metinvest and Amex well on the way to kicking us out of the top 10 in the rankings as well. Who wants to go 1/5 on goals this season? Looks like my team do. |

Ignatiev may well win the next stages, too. Gratz, Avin! Strong showing so far.
Happy no split happened, so it's all about this 5th place now. Koren and Rogers really should be able to be in the mix for the TT-win, too. Daily form, please

Amex with a weird sprint train here. It`s smart to go for Kump obviously. But usually Grillo should be their faster sprinter on flat stages. Good for them though, they go for Kump.
Ignatiev with a big time win. Getting another result on the remaining flat stage could mean he can attack Bibby in the GC as well. |

The more i watch Boeing fail this season the more i look forwards to the CT where we'll actually be quite good (in theory)

For a moment I thought that McEvoy would be able to achieve victory, it was still a good result. Pity is that the TT go destroy the possibility of a good final classification

Huge win for Bibby on the hill stage, now in a strong position ahead of the TT - even after Ignatiev's bonus seconds.

Decent job by Westra on stage 2.
Nice to have made the break in 3, shame it didn't stick.
