Nice to see Haig as the final leadout for Vitoria. Probably too early in his pro career to take this role, but learning by doing
RodrÃgues with an important win. The guy delivers, should be the man to beat now. Thanks for another nice report, Mre!

That's better Delio Fernandez. 4th is better but he can still improve. Hopefully he gets another top 5 in the next stage. And hopefully one of our riders joins the breakaway.

Well done Chris and team - beautiful train
Also nice to see Lehtinen in the break on the first stage trying.

A harder finish than expected there. Losada gets our first point of the race, great to see so many of our riders pack the top 25 in that lottery finish.
Rodrigues looking inform and dangerous but Nicácio should put good time into him in the TT, Pedro should know the GC win is more than possible here. |

I hoped that Hansen could have stayed a bit longer in the yellow jersey but it had to be expected that he'd lose it. But seeing how the leadout collapsed we didn't deserved it.
This might have been better for us since Evonik will not have to work much on stage 3 now and thus, my riders could have more power in the final kilometres. Good to see LNH staying in contention for the other jerseys though.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Well we managed to hide in the peloton pretty well, only could see one of my riders in like one of those screenshots, and even then I was trying to look for him :s
Just one of those stages I guess (hopefully) :/

Nice stage win, perfectly set up by the team. Great to get some well needed bonus seconds ahead of the other favourites. With the yellow jersey now, a good result on the next stage which also ends uphill is my hope. |

Lasse Norman Hansen with an excellent race so far. I'll have a lot of fun with him in the years to come. Cool to see him regaining the yellow jersey and staying in contention for the point jersey as well as defending his white jersey.
He alone makes this race already a decent ones after two not so good months.
With him and Joeaar for the TT I have got good hopes to defend my jerseys for yet another day which would be awesome.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Shame about Stannard not finishing in the lead group here, Rowe has done nothing however so a stage win from Stannard is expected and hopefully Richardson can do something in the last stage as well to give us a decent GC as well, but that isn't too likely

Yay
Thinking of sacking 75% of my riders right now, because this is some worthless crap.
A very good report here though, thanks!

Agreed, he should do it more often! wink-wink!
Really excited for the last two stages now that the appetizer stages are done with. |

I was going to complain about Angarita not being mentioned in the sprint 'favourites' in the preview, but his absence has been fully justified
On the other hand, a great effort from our Peruvian stagiare Navarro to grab hold of the lead in the KoM jersey in his very first race for the team!

Very good sprint stage win for Delio Fernandez. This upcoming TT will hurt us though.

Surprising podium on stage 2 from Young, positioning seems to be key in these stages, otherwise not too much news with the big TT coming up the next stage.

My team has done nothing so far in the race, as expected, so now I really hope for a good and decisive mountain stage for ``once``!

Great TT report, Mre!
I like such timetrials prior to the mountains, will make some things interesting tomorrow! Rodrigues will be tough to beat, Arroyo needs a gutsy ride there.. Our loanee Haig doing well so far, guess it's his best race for Maloja this year. Not sure about the team's stats MO-wise, but maybe he will be one of those staying with Iglinski to save himself a decent GC result. Would be cool
