Best moments:
Quintana's face as he stands on the podium in Paris
Wiggins failing in the Giro
THAT crosswind stage
Much as I dislike Horner, the Angliru stage was pretty good to watch
Nibbles looking like a blancmange whilst winning on Tre Cime
Quintana winning on Semnoz
Konig winning a stage in the Vuelta
Kreuziger winning AGR was pretty cool
Pozzovivo in that Vuelta TT
Worst moments:
Horner winning Vuelta
Froome on Ax-3-Domaines
Froome on Ventoux
Froome winning Tour
Santambrogio. 'Nuff said.
All those Giro cancellations/bad weather/broadcasting issues
van den Broeck abandoning the Tour before the mountains started
Surprising:
The Tour actually turning out to be a great GT, despite Froome
Kittel in TdF generally, and also beating Cav in Paris
Quintana in TdF
Ciolek win in MSR
Kwiatkowski suddenly becoming beast
(Uran/Betancur in Giro)
Dan Martin
Few people I can't remember off the top of my head like Coquard/Zoidl doing well in CT/PCT
Disappointing:
Contador all season
EBH all season
Gilbert all season
Wiggins, not that I'm sad about that though
French in the Tour (Europcar, Cofidis, FDJ etc)
Galibier stage in Giro
Le Grand-Bornand stage in Tour
Hazallanas stage in Vuelta
Only managed to catch MSR and RvV out of the monuments so not much I can say about them. The Giro was a little anticlimactic, the Tour interesting but won by a Froomedog, and the Vuelta less interesting and won by an even more obvious doper.
Oh and I'm sure I've left loads out, these were just the ones that came to my head first.

I would hardly call 7 GT stage wins a dissapointment for Cav, why he was battling over the mountain in Italy Andre Greipel was riding the Belguim Tour. I think Greipel was the dissapointing sprinter. 1 GT win is pathetic. I thought this year after 3 v 3 last year he would challenge Cav but it was Kittel.
This year i think Cav should forget the Giro he has the points jersey now, do you guys think it takes anything out of a sprinter when they are so close to eachother and 1 does 2 back to back GT's?. |

Cavendish had his best season ever in terms of CQ points.
His TDF was somewhat disappointing, but he was ill before the start, so we'll see next year if he has really lost some top speed to become more versatile or if that was just his illness. |

Dissapointing aswell was that both Boonen and Ballan were't able to stay healthy which made the cobbled classics very predictable.

Best Moments:
Wiggins amazing self righting bike at Trentino
Quintana stopping the TdF becoming a precession.
MSR. I don't wanna see it every year but there is something epic about riding through snow and then everything getting bussed half the route.
Sagan celebrations.
All the sponsor pull outs.
Worst moments:
Fans expecting every other pro teams to throw away any interest in their own positions because it might help Sky.
Every Sky win being trashed as a worthless whilst other dopers win and are celebrated (Horner excepted)
Wiggins fear of wet descents and Ryder's general suckiness making the Giro more one sided then last years TdF.
Surprising
Stybar
Horner
Dissapointing
Wiggin's early season
Contador's form all season.

Honestly, after nearly 30 years of loving road racing this year was among the most, if not the most depressing, for me. The combination of Froome and Horner at two of the year's grand tours was so grim as to have me turn off for the first time. The damage done to cycling by doping is, I believe, coming home to roost. As to how clean the sport is now, I am very cynical. That may be the greater damage done, ultimately.
Probably somewhat off topic but that was my reaction to the OP.
It was eleven more than necessary.

With little thought or consideration the following good things occur:
Cancellara vs Sagan in the classics
Ciolek upsetting the above battle at the epic MSR
Vanmarke's PR near miss
Martin Winning LBL
The perfect bike toss in Trentino https://twitpic.com/ckfms3
The perfect fall in the Giro
https://fycyclinggifs.tumblr.com/post/...-giro-2013
Hansen's breakaway win at the Giro
Finally getting a great 3 way sprint battle at the Tour, wow Kittel won it!
Cookson ousting McQuaid

What really got me on the edge of the seat:
Paris - Roibaix (pretty much last 50 or so km, where Fabian started to lag behind)
LBL final 3 km
WC TTT ending
crosswinds at TdF
in Giro that stage where Wiggins fell
