how do you handle helpers's goals? i would like to give them the same goals as their leader, but they would get depressed... |

I think I deserve some sort of award for excellency in stupidity:
Settimani Cyclismo Clasmo Classica Whatever, 1st stage with Atlas Personal:
Takes all of the KoM-sprints, manages to lose a 2 minutes advantage in the final 7 kilometers thanks to tactics, still finishes 4th in the sprint with a 58SPP guy, and then loses 4 guys to the timelimit.
All in a days work for Waghlon...

Not a real career but might start the Giro with Bardiani. It was great to see them ride the Giro irl and it might be nice to do while waiting for a new patch that'll improve career mode! |

started a career with Movistar & seem to be doing well so far.
sent a rider into the break on stage 1 and picked up the KOM & sprint points. Then won stage 2 with Capecchi after attacking near the top of corkscrew, adn then again on the descent
I'm loving the negotiation of goals with the sponsor |

Has anyone tried negotiating a new contract with their Sponsor or found a new Sponsor yet? |

Just enjoyed an Omnium competition (not online, just single player).
Took up the most points in the first discipline. Scratch also went well, so still first all around.
The time trial was the worst thing ever and I finished last, finally in elimination I got blocked in the third round and that made me lose!
First time I played track, though, I like it. |

I started my career.
Of course, with my own real-name + Stats DB
Citigroup Cycling Team
Yup, the amazing pack by Anderspcm!
Meet the team:
I've added some talents, as you can see. I could've picked stronger talents with this horrible U23 talent generation from Cyanide, but these ones were nice as well.
We're in CT, hoping to promote(if I get there, with the bugs I heard about).
Had to edit the goals a bit as well. Sucks, but those goals were impossible, and not races I wanted to ride at all. But still have about the same budget, so still have a possiblity to get satisfied

In MSR in my career
Still same problem of overpowered cobble riders (form) winning solo. Now Langeveld, and main problem is that AI doesn't give a crap in chasing him. I had to do all the work. And with Bennati I didn't actually have a big favorite or anything.
OPQS...Lotto.. content to wait with Cav and Greipel still in the bunch. Weird

Started a career with Blanco (jesley will be delighted ) just to mess about and get used to the game (not bought pcm for 2 years now and a lot has changed in 2 years). 10 aus champs with bobridge. Halfway through tour down under and currently leading with slagter by 4secs
plan to start a proper career with radioshack when pcmdaily db is released

you can change pretty much every thing in the game go take a look at some old topics in 2012 graphics to get idea what you can add there are lots of graphics packs for 2012 we will just have to wait for people to make them for 2013 hope that helps p.s ive been messing around with faces and they have changed the formatt from 2012 from TGA to PNG files so i had to resize things so im guessing same with other graphics stuff .

Welcome to the site Well, yes, there are usually a lot of community mods (databases) which changes all sorts of things, stats, stages, graphics, etc. But since it's been only a couple of days since PCM13 was released, there's still no pack with real equipment. Shouldn't take long before some start to appear, though

Winning with Slagter in the TdU would somehow be realistic though

Meanwhile, my career is being a success.
Volta ao Algarve was awful, had no chance vs Froome and such.
But then, there was Tour of Langkawi. It was a Top 10 sponsorgoal. Though, I was a bit scared when I saw the startlist(involving Pinot, Rolland, Kruiswijk, Poels, Arredondo etc.) I only had an moderate-form Boswell(72MO) and a good-form Craddock(70MO). So I used the Sky 2012 method(not marginal gains, I mean Boswell protects Craddock). I managed an 8th place in the GC with Craddock.
Also, I managed to win the KoM jersey with Boily by attacking a lot. The new recovery system(yellow & red bar also effected) and the ACC stat made the KoM battle really exciting though. In the end, I won it by 2 points on Pinot(He took his points in the mountain stages only though, too strong to get in an early break).
I'm impressed by the gameplay, really!

Started a career with Equipe Garneau (the worst team in the game). I signed Kevin Lacombe from day one and I have been doing better than I thought I would. I won Paris-Troyes and Lacombe has three wins including two in the Tour des Ardennes. 54 year old Loius Garneau got second in the Tour des Ardennes after being in a 3 man break that won by 27 mins.

Its quite possible, i signed Jose Haedo, to my SKY Team...
Well done in Tour De Langkawi...
How was your sponsor goal from the start? Was it realistic, to get a larger budget through negotiation, or was the goal, what maximum could be expected, by your team?
@welker3257: Thats quite a challenge, good luck and congrats on the good start |

Well, I edited a few sponsor goals, to be honest.
I replaced some of my goals for easier races(.2 instead of .HC & .1), since I didn't want to ride a lot .1 races, I like riding .2 races and winning once in a while much better. (My team has Boswell & Veilleux as leaders, they simple can't achieve things on .1 and definitely not strong-startlist .HC races, Langkawi being exception here)
Goals are still very challenging though. My budget is going down about 12000 per month, still. I fired my scout, since I don't use them a lot anyway(U23 races is what I use). I could higher up my budget through goals by 5000 or so, but didn't change goals for budget, just for more realism and fun(so not unachievable goals)
Yet, if you start a custom team, for some reason, you start with quite a bit budget(Not sponsor budget per month, just actual money) so I'm not necassarily going to be in trouble the first season.
Sponsor contract stops next season, so I hope I can promote at the end of the season then, and get a nice paycheck(probably by renewing sponsor though)
