Excellent route, with the last two weeks to be very difficult. Glad I'm out of it

Not a tour suited for Trofimov to say the least.

*takes one look at the route, then glances at the team roster*
You know the Tour de France is so passé. We'd much rather do the Vuelta at full strength, at least until we see the route for that

Considering the hard route here I guess we will see an easier route in either the Vuelta or the Giro... Seems logical for me atleast ;-)

Wow.... That's brutal... Makes me glad that I can't even apply for a wildcard into that!

The three last stages are just bananas!
As DaBobScotts said, I'm happy not participating...

What a beast profile for the Tour, this will be great fun to follow. We have not even started to think about applying, this is another level. Level Metinvest will aim for in few years, but not now...

Simply Red Bull rider Amael Moinard gave his reaction to the press giving some interesting insighta into the route:
I like the fact that some less well known climbs have been used, though for a guy like me mountain top finishes are not really ideal for the type of stage I like to go for!
I think a lot of people will focus on the six Mountain top finishes, which is natural. I am not so sure that the first two are that difficult the Col de Minier is obviously a very long one but it will be difficult to judge where to attack on it. I'd even give a break a chance on that day I think the favourites will play it cagey. I think the Pyrenees will be really tough though, I've raced in San Sebastian and it just goes up and down all day. The two mountain stage I don't know so well but coming where they do the big guns will have to fire.
The Alps will be the final battleground, I think yes if Madrazo is here he will surely be in the reckoning. I don't know if someone like Phinney with the chrono kilometres will still be in the hunt. But whoever is here will need to have kept something the stage into La Plagne is really going to be very hard.
It's going to be a tour where no-one can relax, we had for me one of the best tours in a long time this year and next years could be even better. It's tough yes, but I don't think it is as tough as people might think, certainly no tougher than last year where guys were shattered coming out of Corsica!

Really great TdF route. I very much doubt we'll be taking part, but it's gonna be a fun race to follow for sure.

Looks like an interesting Tour. Venchi will target either the Giro or the Tour this year, so we will hopefully sign a GC rider with the necessary attributes to battle for a good GC position. Looking forward to it!

Looks a fun route. Too bad we can't participate. But that's for in a couple of years. (hopefully). Think Cunego could still beat Madraza if he starts, otherwise the Spaniard will probably win.
