Jewish?
My rampant support of Israel wasn't enough of a giveaway?
Hell, my Man-Game team was El Al - IDF
Although, worth noting, if I do rejoin the Man Game, Israeli cycling will not be making a comeback. I've got a better idea...
Before my time I reckon.
Yeah, now that I'm looking at it, I pretty much left the site back in March of '11, and it looks like you didn't join till a couple months after. I mean, I know I was back periodically, but I think all that stuff would have been before your time.
Becoming the old generation, huh?
I would nearly say "we" are the third one here already. More or less 07/08, 09/10 and 11/12 are quite distinctive imo.
You have no idea. Smoothie, Dankan, Addy, back in the days when we had the post counter, when Wildcat000 was inexplicably an admin, when Waghlon was even more inexplicably an admin, when I was a dweeb (I was thirteen when I joined, thirteen!!!). I could go on and on. Damn, those were the days...
Not many of us left as frequent users.

How do you be unadmined?

You apparently never interacted with Waghlon. He was...interesting. Anyway, he was supposed to be the database reviewer, and Wildcat was the original article writer, but neither of them ever did anything. Although Waghlon's few PCM 07 database reviews are golden (particularly the Womensbase one), and his advent calendar might be the greatest thing to ever happen on PCM.daily.
I remember when I was first here, there was a tab on the left hand bar that allowed you to see all the admins, also long gone.
Also, am I right in thinking the site underwent a full re-design at some point??? It's been so long now, but I'm pretty sure it happened.
We're getting way off topic though.
EDIT: I was right!!! From less than two weeks after I joined: https://web.archiv...m/news.php

Which statement do you refer to with your first sentence?
I was around back then as well, though only as a reader rather than a contributor, but I still remember those guys

Oh, and if you're there already, read Guido's Predictor story, one of my all-time favs to say the least!
And I still remember that site layout somewhere in the back of my head, seems like we got rid of one spot in the "latest posts" box

My all-time pantheon is SN's DFL, RJC's Auber 93, and Mads' Euskatel (which hit 50 pages in no time before dying out). Found myself flipping though the DFL thread a couple days ago for a while, that was a classic.
SN did something I've never seen a story-writer do before or since. Completely insane. He had Contador, best rider in the game, completely unbeatable in the GC's, on DFL...and suspended him for doping. Crazy. Biggest WTF moment ever.

Yup, without spending a lot of time to research and remember, exactly these three would make my list, although I can't really compare the newer ones with them.
So to any guys not knowing these stories, maybe give them a try, even though being in a story while it progresses is a completetly different feeling, they are worth it

Yep, same, I don't read stories anymore.
Still, greatest moment in PCM.daily story history, in my view. Of course, I have a dumbass response:

Now perhaps we could get back to the 2012 Il Lombardia? (Giro di Lombardia is a much better name btw)

Stay on topic, what do you think this is, the cyclingnews forum...still, you're right. Also, I think everyone is agreed Giro di Lombardia is a better name. No one knows why they changed it.
Cyclingnews has the finish listed at 11:11 a.m. (EST)...oddly specific. Think they know something we don't |

Of old stories, SeoulYank's discovery story was my favourite + SNs DFL.
But unfortunately lots of the other good ones seem to have outdated pics so they're no fun to read
Hoping to see Contador shine today, to go back on topic!

The weather reminds me a lot of 2010 (I think) where Gilbert soloed in with the terrible conditions.
