Actually, as far as I know you were supposed to be able to renew with your sponsor (other teams can, so it is quite stupid if you can't imo). I remember a post by CrueTrue saying he suggested, in Beta testing, for them to add the possibility to renew with the sponsor but it was too late for that. I guess that in PCM 12 this should be "available".
I really hope it is, but sometimes the sponsor could say "you aren't doing well enough, so we dont wanna renew!"

Well, obviously, you shouldn't be able to keep the same sponsor for 10 consecutive years. The sponsor could also lose interest in sponsoring a team, and could make big requests if they are to stay like Saxo Bank, and other possibilities (dreaming is free ) But seriously, I hope that, if there's the possibility to renew sponsor, it does have some variables to not make it possible for you to renew several consecutive times.

Yeah. If you are getting great results and staisfying them, is it really realistic to have a new sponsor every couple of years?
Lachi: I did use my brain. there descision resembled a bug because it made no sense. Like Luigi and valverde said before me, why nort let the user renew, just have variables to it. And what do you get from not sticking with the same sponsor? Headaches?

Yes. Try naming some teams which stayed with the same sponsor for more than 6, 7 years (other than Euskaltel and Rabobank, these don't count ), which would be about 2 contract renewals with the same sponsor (first contract already set when starting career, then renewed one time). As I said, sponsors can have several reasons other than "team not getting good enough results" to stop sponsoring a team.

Why not? Just two examples. It's rare, but happens.
And:
Lotto (only 27 years)
Lanboukredit
Aqua & Sapone
Cofidis
FDJ
AG2R
Quickstep
Liquigas
Telekom (91-04 enough for you?)
And yes, many secondary sponsors have changed on the teams label as well as sponsor names, but all these meet the criteria given.

Well, Euskaltel sponsors kinda a national team of the Basque country so it's harder for them to change sponsors, but of course you can count, they were just the two that first came to my head
And I actually meant sponsors staying as head sponsor of a team. Anyway, that's about 10 cases of out more than 80 teams in a DB, so yes, I still think it's realistic if it'll be hard to keep a sponsor for a lot of years. I didn't say it might be impossible. And after all, we don't even know if it'll be possible to renew with your current sponsor, so this is discussion is kinda.. useless

I agree with you then .

I guess they do this because of the sucess in FIFA. But to be honest, it is way to few cyclist to make this fun I think. Everyone wants the same riders which means that nobody sells. In football it's possible to win with a much weakier team based on how you play. IKn cycling skills is much more important... |

I'm curious how the new mode will work. I doubt I'll be playing it though, just the signleplayer mode is more than enough for me on PCM. |

the guys that have the game dont upload nothing about armada
but i think it will be not very good mode, at least this first year
for what i see in the db... it will count the individual position and also team like the old ladder mode, i hate it because its ridiculous play for placements of riders that are not the leader
