Those clues remind me of Kruopis, but tbh I have no idea if he's the right age or if he turned pro in 2007
The rest fits though. Especially the bit about the grass being greener....he just switched a team with a green jersey for another with a green jersey and a bigger setup.

He's 25, 26 later this year, so his age doesn't fit.

the only greenedge podium spots from young riders is aidis kruopis.
so that means that it cant be a green edge rider and we are looking at this wrong.
Why ? Everything matches to be him ? I honestly can't see anyone else than Kruopis. Also some rider from GE if I remember correctly wrote a slag about the grass is greener on the other side so it has to be GE, meaning Kruopis.

Not everything matches. He is 26.
Isn't the 3 under the 6 on the keyboard?
In all seriousness. For a simple quiz, it would be most logical to search the data on a rider from either CQ, the team site or wikipedia. Wikipedia being the most likely case. The fact that the exact same numbers are there for height and weight, the win is mentioned, and the clue most likely refers to GreenEdge, i would think they just messed up the age.
Not 100% sure, but it's most likely.

In all honesty, I'll put my money on Kruopis. |

Without reading everything abouve, what about Daniel Schor rom NetApp? He's Austrian, they have no amazingly big-name cyclists, but they do produce good climbers such as Rohregger.

Mentioned in post #15. But he's only 72 kg and the 'known' part didn't fit much.

It doesn't explain the greener grass bit, though. But, none the less, he's a candidate. |

Sorry, I didn't read any of the posts and just did a little bit of quick research; I didn't take the weight part into account.

Using my Sherlock Holmes skills I assume that all previous suggestions are wrong, because else iambennyboy would have announced a winner and not given another clue. |

Could it be Travis Meyer?
The "grass is greener" bit could refer to the song "Side" by the band Travis.
Edit: Now that I have looked into it, most of the data doesn't fit

I have this smirking suspicion that we are all going to give ourselves a facepalm when the winner is announced. |

I'm not sure he has the answer seeing as he got it from his club. And that wasn't really another clue, he just confirmed what I'd assumed.
But anyway... iambennyboy, do you have the answer?

It probably is wrong, but I'm thinking David Veileux. Kelly Benefit and Europecar are both green, he turned pro that year, and Canada hasn't produced many great cyclists [aside from Bauer, Hesjedal, and Tuft]. |

I'm pretty sure its not David as he's 24, 5'11 and doesnt have any podiums this year.

"The grass is greener" could always mean going from a country/team based in an arid climate, maybe in Africa somewhere, maybe suffereing from drought, to a team in Europe(?) to a team/country that is considered to have an 'attractive' landscape like France or something similar, with lush meadows of grass and in general can sustain lots of grasses and plants, possibly?
