Kidding?
You cannot rate a rider 85 just because of 2 good tt's.
We need to see more..

We´re currently discussing that. He had a great day tonight, but it will be interesting to see how he will work out the following days. At the moment my intention is to leave him at 67 MO; with his great allround stats, an intelligent attack like we´ve seen on stage 3 and a very good day this result should be replicable.

There is a chance of lifting him up to 68 though.

Powless did very good at Joe Martin too. Not a big race, but he is in great form. Better look over a longer period...
But he is surely a big surprise and need some increased stats

He's only 19 years old, still plenty of time to improve, but he looks very promising.

On the other hand, the almighty Kirby declared that Alaphillipe is a favorite for the Tour this year. Therefore, this result should be replicable in game. I demand at least 81-82 mtn for Alaphillipe so he has a good chance for a Tour victory, as he obviously will in real life.

Good old Powless discussion. Let me explain my point a little deeper.

Joe Martin wasn´t a climbers race...you see that the GC was made by the TT and the stage Travis McCabe won, which shows that it was not the toughest of profiles, hence we can´t take it into account for climbing stats. Then we have the Tour of the Gila, again he was strong in the TT and on one medium tough stage. THat´s why he´s got good TT, FL, HI and even SP stats. On the toughest of stages at the Gila he failed to deliver though, might not have been the captain there though. The only thing that we know is that he didn´t deliver on the only climbing stage he raced this year before the Tour of California.

There he put in some great racing so far. Surely he had an amazing result on the climb and was hyped a lot, but he got nearly free 30 seconds of an advantage. On a climb like this is not much, but still something to work with. His effort was amazing though, even counting -30 seconds he still would´ve finished in the Top10 near to Rob Britton, who is at 71 currently.

On a good day this would be defenitely replicateable in PCM, he´s got great back-up stats for a climber. That´s because I see (his pre-California and stage 4 racing imply) him not as a pure climber, but more as an allrounder for every terrain (despite cobbles, we know nearly nothing about him there [besides the DNF on the Junior Paris-Roubaix in 2014]). His great downhill stat comes from his background as a mountainbiker btw.

Hopefully that can explain a little why I would set his stats (especially the MO stat) in the shown way.

Sondre Holst Enger is an impressive rider! Won a cobbled uphill sprint in Croatia, sprinted well in Picardie and finished second on a very hilly stage i Norway today even though he pulled most of the 11 kilometer climb in front for Eiking. That little guy is extremely talented!

I'm constantly giving small updates to this guy at the moment, in fact IAM have a very good team that have constantly been getting updates over the last few months. It's a team without big stars but they have so many riders just below that level.

Eurosport mentioned today that the team was looking for a sponsor, would be a shame to see this team lose its way.

They've been looking for a sponsor since they started. They're comfortable with continuing at this level of budget if they never find one

One of last evenings breakaway riders in ToC brought me to this find....

https://espoirscentral.blogspot.se/201...e-vos.html

Adam de Vos, the Canadian, perhaps needs a bit increase in some stats. Not too much but this stage wasn't the only one he shined in 2015-2016.
The knowledge in this thread is much more than mine, so I just make you notice some that might have been overlooked.

I trust smarter people makes the correct decisions
It's damn hard to set stats correct, especially on these "lower" class of riders. Skujins at least have proved his quality with another stage win in ToC.
A little like Mike Woods last year perhaps. Then little known, today much more respected.

If Kruijswijk finishes top 5 this Giro he definitely deserves an upgrade IMO.

De Vos got updated in several steps this year, so we have an eye on him...these type of hints are very useful for use though, keep it up clamel (and all the other guys :) )

You're definitiv correct, BUT good stats in those sets ??
I was looking in 1.2 v and he had 64 in FL, 62 DH, 65 SP, 64 HI. That's not that very good is it ???
Those were the stats I based my comment on, but then I might be wrong.
With 62-62-63 in endurance, Rec, Res and with 63 in FI he surely will not do much but with a 5 in POT he might in a year or two.

Do I have the wrong version ???

When several Canadians have been brought up I would like you to take a look at Matt Dal-Cin. He has done some nice TT results (Prologue mostly) and looked to woke up second half last year. Did some very nice results, and perhaps just small increase on stats you find best to mess with.

It's not overly hard for a rider with 78 mtn to get into a top 5 in a weaker GT field, but in the case of Kruiswijk he's certainly a 78-79 climber so far and I'm hoping that he'll show that this weekend. As for any higher than this, he's still got the best of the Giro to demonstrate this.

Considering Zakarin, Chaves, Valverde, Nibali, Uran, Majka, Pozzovivo, Landa and I am probably forgetting some, the field is not weak at all in my opinion Wink.

We as the statmaking team are updating stats in our shared DB daily. On the next DB update you´ll see Powless f.e. with 68/69 DH. He has Potential 6 already, Hill also got a small update. And 65 sprint is not too bad for a 19 year old talented "climber". His current stats in our db look like this:

FL: 65
MO: 67
DH: 68
COB: 60
TT: 67
PRL: 66
SPR: 66
ACC: 68
END: 62
RES: 64
REC: 64
HI: 65
FTR: 65

If you take out Landa there are not too many guys left with a MO higher than 78. Remember Kruijswijk got a high REC compared to the likes of Zakarin.

Also remember that Kruijswijk is a very inconsistent rider. He had a good Giro in 2015 and a good Arctic Tour of Norway in 2014 but that´s almost it.

Let´s see how he does and judge his stats after the Giro again :)

I know what you mean but in general due to its position being so close to the Tour it is a race where the biggest GT names unless they are especially targeting the race tend to give it a miss. Last years edition had a lot of riders between 4th and 10th on 78-76 mtn stats whereas a 4th to 10th in the Tour would hardly see too many riders with a 77 mtn stat.
