Round 5: Various thoughts - Results
1. Name a denomination of Christianity.
This question appeared to be the easiest of the 25 I've asked. 12 out of 17 answered Catholicism. No mentions for any of the other two major denominations; Protestantism and Orthodoxy.
Spoiler Catholicism x12
WTF is that x1
Zwinglian x1
New Apostolic x1
Jehovah's Witnesses x1
Basilideans x1
2. Name a face carved on Mount Rushmore.
Three US presidents and two characters of Superman 2 got mentioned. This question proved to be very easy as well, as George Washington gets 11 points. 1 point for every other answer!
Spoiler George Washington x11
Abraham Lincoln x1
Theodore Roosevelt x1
The Rockface x1
Mounty McMountface x1
Ursa (Superman 2) x1
Non (Superman 2) x1
3. Name a cyclist.
I thought this would be an interesting question to ask on this forum. It came down to a battle between most recent Tour de France champion Chris Froome and most recent World Champion Peter Sagan, and the latter prevailed in the end. 7 points for the Slovak and 4 for the Brit/Kenyan/South African.
Spoiler Peter Sagan x7
Chris Froome x4
Nairo Quintana x1
Lance Armstrong x1
Christophe Laporte x1
Luke Mudgway x1
Mark Dzamastagic x1
Tayler Wiles x1
4. Name a language (bar english).
Probably the hardest question of the round. Spanish comes out on top with 6 points and French gets 3. German and Portuguese get two mentions each (I'll count "Brazilian Portugese" as a dialect of Portuguese). matt17br was the only one to name the world's biggest language.
Spoiler Spanish x6
French x3
German x2
Portuguese x2
Chinese x1
Moriori x1
Sign language x1
Middle Egyptian x1
5. Name a member of the 27 Club.
9 mentions for the lead vocalist of Nirvana Kurt Cobain. Jimi Hendrix gets 4 points. jandal7 did not hesitate to answer Lea de Mae.
Spoiler Kurt Cobain x9
Jimi Hendrix x4
Alexander Bashlachev x1
Lea de Mae x1
The first one x1
Anton Yelchin x1
baseballlover312, emre99 and jseadog1 all score 42 points and win the round! The high scores indicate that this was a pretty easy round. However, everyone made at least one mistake and noone scores a perfect round.

Selwink is the overall winner, congratulations! After being so close to victory last time, he certainly deserves this win. Although Selwink had a relatively bad last round, he managed to stay ahead of roturn (best admin ), who closed the gap to 9 points in the end. matt17br retains 3rd place and thus completes the podium. LWThrax takes home the chocolate medal as he finishes fourth, and Marcovdw and NTTHRASH shares the fifth place.

*high fives Jandal* Superman II, possibly the best comic movie of all time <3
Also i'm happy i got to mention Tayler <3<3<3<3<3<3
My only real comment on the rounds just gone, the deadline could have done with being a bit longer. Less than 3 days is pushing it a bit...

Yeah the main reason why I lowered the time in between the questions and the results from just under four days to just under three, is that I'm leaving Europe, my laptop and regular internet connection tomorrow. I wanted to get rid of this before I go.
Obviously I can only speak out of my own experiences, but I still think almost three days time is more than enough to send in the answers, regardless of which days of the week those days are.

Two times I've been given two points instead of 1 on a technicality. Ah, well at least I didn't keep sign language and ruin it for knockout
Zwinglian is a type of Protestantism though

Didn't bother to look it up properly, just googled it quickly. To decide which answers should be counted as the same and deciding which answers are incorrect really are the hardest things as a host. People seemed to be a little frustrated after Round 2 (bones and stuff), and that's why I didn't bother to mark incorrect answers in the last couple of rounds.
I'm glad that I don't have any responsibility of this game anymore.

I really don't mind what you write, there's no point wasting your time checking stuff like that and your decisions with counting things the same were fair enough. I just felt like pointing it out.
Once again thanks a lot for running this
