You have been busy Margh.
Deutschland is soon complete, so I better work on some sort of XML classification for this great race. Guess I have to dig deep for older info. Perhaps a mix of older stuff and fantasy that will look and feel nice enough.
Toronto Cup looks cool, now the Maple Leaf City can match up against it's rivals in Montreal and Quebec. Fierce rivalries between these cities. Mostly of course in Ice Hockey.

Great stuff as always.
You've done a very good work on Dubai. Perhaps I would say that you got a lot more green areas in this desert city that one at first hand believes. Kind of surprised me to be sure. They built a fantasy city, green grass and palmtrees almost everywhere and skylines like you visited New York (mind the heat)
Your buildup of the Palm Island is the best yet. Some others have tried this 2nd stage of Tour of Dubai but have had some strange issue with steep banks instead of what you got Nice smooth beaches of the many "arms" of the island leading out to the top with the Atlantis building.
Well, not any chance to get the tunnel in this game, and in fact it's only a 4 lane road on the top of the island that they race on. Not a circuit. But what can one do in the game.
Looking on this in stage-viewer I see that you built up a lot of roads into the desert, so naturally I hope that you might fix up this special stage 2 of Dubai Tour. You got everything in place (well some more buildings perhaps deeper in the desert)
Of course the zcts for us other would be a treat.
Now the Deutschland Tour looks pretty finished. What will the last stage be ?
I will put it my DB and see what I can come up with on the XML issue.
Needs to have a look on what you got on the KoM sprints.
Will compare with other German races to see if they have a preference.

I started creating a Dubai-zcts back then, but it turned out a neverending story and I finally stopped working on it when two or three Dubai Tour creations popped up.
The roads you've seen in the viewer are covering routes for five stages (three of 2014th and two of 2015th edition). Together with the corresponding gpx-files the zcts can be downloaded by clicking here... and used/finished by any stagemaker who's interested.
Just the road and water sections are made (plus the few things for the released classic). Just remove route, spline objects and auto-cities to have a clean file again.
The steep banks you recognized in other stages are caused by the buggy stage editor. Everytime you move a water point the smooth beach is "desroyed" by these banks. Only way to stop this from happening is doing it precisely the first time, what is a really difficult task regarding the Jumeirah coastline... took me several attemps and a lot of time, too.

Nice to know you're taking care of the XML.

Any idea why the game keeps crashing after loading 'Water geometries'?

Sorry, can't tell. Last time I tried it worked.
Next in the loading sequence will be teams, maybe there is something wrong with the teams in the edited DB, respectively the teams you've added to the race.

I have added it as a Brazil NC RR, so there only are 2 teams with one rider each. |

Never tried, but the stage should work as a NC, too. Could be two riders are too few and make the game crash!? Guess this can be better solved by a DB maker.

Well, now lets see about Deutschland Tour
last year was 2008 29 aug -6 sept. and Linus Gerdeman took the overall win.
I have been checking your KoMs and we have to make an adjustment one way or the other.
The real race only had cat 1,2,3 (No HC No 4th category)
KoM 1: 10-8-6-4-2
KoM 2: 6-4-3-2-1
KoM 3: 3-2-1
If we keep cat 4 I guess we could do a Tour de France variant of just 1 point to the winner. Personally I think it's a waste, but TDF have their own ideas.
What do you think.
Back then (2008) they had 6-4-2 points on the intermediate sprints and
25-20-16-13-11-10 down to 1 point at the finish line.
What I could understand NO bonus, but on that I think it would be more "modern" to have the almost standard finish of -10,-6,-4 and sprints -3,-2,-1
Germany today is not a great area for stage-races so only Bayern Rundfarth is on the bill. Perhaps it will change now that TV again broadcasting TDF.
The Bayern race have very different setups, so I think the old Deutschland Tour should be the basics for this race of yours.
Bayern Rundfarth have only KoM cat 1 (5-3-2-1) and cat 2 (3-2-1)
sprints 3-2-1 and finish 5-4-3-2-1 (bonus the standard as mentioned above)
I wait and see what you think, then put the XML in order.
Eager to have a look at your Dubai stuff. Thanks for the files.
This could be a setup like the very nice stuff from pcmfrance.com
Those blokes have really made some stunning zcts files with all out IB cities and small villages.

Thanks for the input. Other than the name there is no link to the real Deutschland Tour, so it can be done whatever tastes most exciting. I'll leave the KOM-categories the way they are as these and are long set (for the man-game), but will release a stage pack including the zcts and you can change things to your liking. I like the KOM-categories you mention, why not adjust them (1 to 2, 2 to 3 and 3 to 4)? For the IS the classic Deutschland Tour points are looking good and in addition I would like the time bonuses, too.

Nice one Margh, I got the old one (including zcts) but still you might have imporved this newer version.
Nice more narrow roads that do create the urgent fight to get to the front. Landscape and villages nicely done as always.
Making a note of that beach building-hotel on the other side of the water. That's things that enhance stages. Not only thinking about the close 5 yards at the roadside. Views are important to get better feelings IMHO.
That's why these odd house, farms, churches longer away from the road do lift a stage, instead of empty moon looking landscape.
Good on you mate, well done

Thanks for the kind words, clamel. I second most of your thoughts about what stages should look like.
Apart from the last Deutschland Tour stage I recognized that 2015th Trofeo Alcide Degasperi has almost the same route as in 2013. Guess both will be done tomorrow evening.
