Thanks to both of you, "Cascade" looks like a very varied and exciting race to make... is fun so far.
@tsmoha: Am grateful about your input, too. This way I didn't need to spend time myself finding the reason...

Just have tested your Tour of San Luis. Great stages. Was really fun to play and much better than the old version, where time were much harder to get.
Unfortunately I am already in my season, but surely I will add your American races into my career the next season. |

@roturn:
Pleased to hear the stages played out well.
It's wonderful feedback for me, cause I just tested the stages in single stage mode where the AI sometimes behave quite strange.

Cascade Cycling Classic (stage 3)
...is a two-way-road time trial.
Tried another kind of road linking. Put a third one in the middle and had just to tweak the height. It turns out to be faster than two near perfect linked roads, but the little notch in the center let it appear less real.
Had a shot on bridge design in this one, too.
First tried to make a wooden one...
...which was okay, but not what I really wanted.
Then remembered what Schack once did...
...to get a 4-voie bridge done...
...and finally get to this model:
More screens of the stage:

Good job friend! It's always fantastic to see your screenshots and play your stages. I assure that with some patience and effort it's possible to create innovative stages like yours.
I'm a bit tired and bored of seeing always the same landscapes and isolated objects. It seems that every stage is the same, but with different routes...
Finally I have to say that your whole work have inspired me to make my stages. Thanks friend.
And of course, keep going with your beautiful and amazing stages!

Thanks so much for great support I receive from you, guys.
@Camacho:
Stunned again by your kind words, cheers mate!
Thanks to improved 2012 stage editor good slopes are easier to create, which seems to inspire at least more stagemakers caring about the fluff. Have seen many things of beauty created by you and others here at pcmdaily the past months. |

That road linking idea is brilliant!!!
I'm re-installing the game just to try out the possibilities. |

Thanks. Am excited to see what you are up to.
Just ran a test based on the road over road idea...
...but the bikes sinked a little to much into the road. |

Thanks a lot, arma!
I retried the "fake Champs-Élysées thing" with a little bit more success:
...at least much more of the tires is visible.
I stage is made sloppy and unfinished (though working), but whoever is interested in the tech part might find something useful in the download, zcts-file is added.
The gpx were from downtown Birmingham (therefor the name), but the terrain is nearly flattened to unrecognizability. |

Thanks tsmoha, would be great to see it realized in a finished stage!

Thanks a lot tovhol. Have fun, but don't look to closely.
Won't call this song one of my favourites, but felt so flattered that I need to listen til the end, thanks mate!

Thanks, sutty. Is honestly just this one turn that looks better now. For the moment it was all I want to achieve... to see it can be done. |
