Might chance your opinion about Wiggins ( not really sure what that opinion is, but it should change it for better )
I don't really like books that are rushed out after a big event. They usually come of dishonest and full of mistakes. Not sure if that's the case here, though.
Thanks for all the other suggestions, though. I had some of them noted down before-hand, so that's 'reassuring'
Im pretty sure that would be the same in any book by "Wiggins"... (you never know these days. Could have been a ghost writer...)
Uhh dude, no rider in the world writes his own books, it's all ghost writers.
In fact, most newspaper columns are ghost written.
Wiggins' column in a british paper this summer about the accusations of doping he was getting? Written by a Sky PR woman, I forget her name right now.
Really? The Guardian ones? Could you give us a source?
Oh man, look through the cyclingnews editors' posts in the forum. I think it was Daniel Benson who mentioned it.
But anyway, why do you want a source? It's what they all do. Cipollini doesn't write "La Stampa" either, he tells the ghost writer the general gist of what he wants to say and the ghost writer writes it. Same as every book and almost every column by pro riders.

Well, I dont believe that any sports person writes their book themselves either... And if, then its more than heavily edited!

I thought you meant completely written rather than writing down his ideas eloquently. |

Quite strange that the FB page of a 78,481-member-forum has 5 likes, actually
It's not an official PCM.daily page - I didn't even know of its existence, and I've now reported it to Facebook.
If you want me to remove it, just say so. In the description I already state that it's not an official page.
EDIT: Oops, also overlooked your post. I'm deleting it at the moment

I unpublished it, but I think it's not deleted yet.
I can't immediately delete it, this is what it says:
"PCM Daily is scheduled to be deleted in 14 days. Cancel deletion"

Yeah, think that's a preqaution for sites with more than one owner making sure that for example a disgruntled employee go deleting a company's site (and a good thing in my opinion...)
And another link for your pic

So the guy currently in the lead of the screenshot contest, with 68 likes for his Europcar yellow jersey screenshot, is known here as coureurkeg. Remember him? The dude from the hilarious (...) screenshots in the PCM09: Funny Screenshots section. He has well over 2200 Facebook friends.
I am in second, with 38 likes. I have just over 200 Facebook friends, I think it is obvious who will win

I guess so. The only reason they decided to make it a Facebook contest is probably so that they would get more publicity.

I present to you Marco Pinotti: The Cycling Professor. Every word written by himself (at least the Italian version).

Facebook is evil. Years ago me a nd my friends made an oath never to assist in it's takeover. If Google and Facebook joined forces, the world would be gone.
How can someone even have 2200 friends? I don't think I even know that many people.
But nice screen.

After some deep thinking I decided to take it much easier on the site for a while. So for all story-writers out there, sorry to stop commenting. I'll try to follow up on the stories but I won't post too much anymore. Just a lot of stuff going down, some darker things and I should stop spending so much time on the site. Will definitely hang around but, like I said, I won't be posting a lot, at least for a while. (Though I probably won't be able to resist logging in at least once a day... ) |
