No problems received them fine now.
Only ryant left. If I'm home tonight, I'll run the results then, tomorrow at the latest!
There have been some interesting matches already, though, can tell you that! |

Group A
selwink | vs | jihardy | 5 | | 1 | 9 | | 8 | 6 | | 11 | | | | jandal7 | vs | sammyt93 | 2 | | 5 | 9 | | 11 | 9 | | 4 |
Group A had a fast start. Selwink took on jihardy and laid him down in two sets. Jihardy was banking on the last two sets but it didn't play out well, unfortunately for him.
jandal7, 3rd in our first season of High Risk, is not off to the best start. Losing in two sets from sammyt93 isn't the end of the world, but there's already 3 points between him and the top 2 positions. And even a second place doesn't guarantee a place in the Quarter Finals in this second season so that first spot is all the more important!
Group B
luxemburger | vs | lakebeach | 0 | | 14 | 12 | | 3 | 8 | | 3 | | | | waghlon | vs | ryant | 1 | | 9 | 10 | | 10 | 9 | | 1 |
Lakebeach wanted to start big and took the first set with impressive figures: 14 to 0. But this meant he'd get it tough later on. The second set was a walk in the park for Luxemburger. He kept 8 points to take the match in three sets.
Waghlon and Ryant was the last match to be played, and the match was exciting, too. A draw in set 2 means both players start their campaign with 1 point in the group stage.
Group C
matt17br | vs | weirdskyfan64 | 8 | | 12 | 11 | | 7 | 1 | | 1 | | | | abhishekLFC | vs | roturn | 11 | | 11 | 1 | | 1 | 8 | | 8 |
Group C has runner-up roturn from season 2. It also had the strangest opening day. Matt and Weirdskyfan fired off some warning shots at each other before ending in a draw in the final set.
Abhishekl and roturn created a unique situation and both sent in the exact same numbers. A complete draw and so everyone in group C has 1 point. Nothing's been lost for nobody.
Group D
marcovdw | vs | FroomeDog99 | 6 | | 12 | 10 | | 4 | 4 | | 4 | | | | jaxika | vs | Mresuperstar | 1 | | 16 | 9 | | 0 | 10 | | 4 |
The first match in group D was a draw, too. Marcov and FroomeDog were not to be seperated and so they'll each take a point.
Mresuperstar started strong against jaxika. 16 points, no less. This is a risky tactic. And when jaxika answers with only 1 points, you know what this means for the rest of the match.
Mre took a hit in set 2 and jaxika had enough fire power left to take the third set, too. A 2-1 victory in the end.
Group E
jseadog1 | vs | SSJ2Luigi | 1 | | 13 | 9 | | 1 | 10 | | 6 | | | | trekbmc | vs | Vali | 0 | | 5 | 10 | | 14 | 10 | | 1 |
And then, finally, the group with defending champion Vali. Often described as a cold, calculated killer, Vali was up against trekbmc.
But first, we had jseadog and Luigi, two new players. Luigi took his first set in a convincing manner. Jseadog countered in set 2. So it all came down to the third set. Jseadog had more left in the tank and takes his first match in 3 sets.
Trekbmc has dreaded this match, and with reason. Vali is feared around these parts. He proved this in set 1, taking trekbmc down early on in the match.
Trekbmc now had to go on to the offensive. and he did, 10 points for set 2. But Vali isn't easily intimidated and countered with an impressive 14. Game, set, match. Vali starts his second season with the maximum points possible.

I didn't think it was even possible to suck at this game. But, apparently I do.

That was a cool draw between me and weirdskyfan, we just chose the same tactic more or less apparently. But that was an even more absurd draw between roturn and abishlek

Flukish run to third now confirmed, really don't feel like I have a shot with Selwink next

So going random doesn't work and having a strategy doesn't work.
They might both involve going 0-10-10 but that's besides the point.

I won! Yeah!
But so many draws, the guys who won in two matches now have an advantage. |

Definitely, especially with the new system of having 5 groups.
Might as well repeat it, in case anyone missed it:
Out of 5 groups of 4, only 8 will go on to the Quarter Finals.
Group winners automatically qualify. Best 2nd also gets a spot. Other 2 spots are contested between the other players who were 2nd in their group. |

Deadline is in an hour.
Still need jandal, luxemburger and weirdskyfan.
I'll only have a chance to do the results tomorrow so you have an extended deadline until somewhere tomorrow |
