Not a lot of "newness" in the animations them selves, but they are lot more dynamic and reactive... Worryingly though this alone will put a decent amount of extra pressure on my already crippled laptop.
And how much do we have to say it... don't focus on graphics, focus on the management!!!

That video is fantastic Hopefully it'll be possible to 'read' the other riders body postures to have an idea of how they are feeling? That would be cool

if tdf 2012 it's playable on 1:2 just like 35-40% and had 1 year for development, for making all stages fully playable at 1:2 would require more then 1 year
I hardly think 1 whole year of development was spent solely on stages (there's the rest of the game to be done as well, and you would expect that different people develop the stages and the rest of the game). If you consider that the 1:2 is x5 the scale of PCM, 1 stage of TdF should take about 5 times what a stage of PCM takes to be done. 5 x 21 = 105, and PCM comes with way more stages than that
Of course the fact that it'd take much more work to create the stage has an effect in changing the scale together with the other factors mentioned in the interview, but I don't think that the main reason for why the scale has changed is that Cyanide wouldn't have time to do the stages.
For the record, I agree with some others that playing sections of the stages in 1/2 seems nicer than playing the whole stage in 1/5. I found great that the game was going in different directions than PCM when it was released, but now it's looking more and more like PCM. But well, I don't have a console, I won't be buying it anyway

The best part of that video was seeing the gaps on the mountain and the fact they pulled away when they attacked

Yeah, but tbh, I'm really happy that that's possible in PCM 13(well, seems). Makes the game a lot better

Oh obviously. The animations are cool and realistci, its just everything is pointless imo if the cycling fundaments aren't represented accurately.
Im not asking for perfect, but in previous games we could attack on steep gradients and then somehow that stopped and it became better to use the dot in the past few games. It wasn't even fixed after the first year that the "bug" came up.

Well, I meant the gaps and the (kinda working) attacks. So we perfectly agree

Dot is great, but i remember, PCM 2008. Great for attacking on every terrain. 2009, meh, attacks = big waste of energy. Improved on PCM 2010, but above 6%, you could attack with rider's above 80 MO. |

you pointed well,no console owner
i don't want 1:2 because i want scale 1:1 to play 5 hours a stage but if isn't posible now,i just let it so
but if compare just scale between tdf 2012 and tdf 2013 it's not right
tdf 2012 pro- scale 1:2 and that's it
tdf 2013 pro- splitscreen co-op and versus, custom tour, manager more involved with objectives for every stage, can change at every time your rider
if i will take after you,you probably say call of dutty black ops it's best on pc,when the game it's better on consoles
on consoles black ops have a plus: splitscreen.a thing that matters
every addition counts
as every removed mode counts
online tdf 2012 was lame and traffic was even lamer because i begged people to play online
so a tdf 2013 without online mode doesn't affect much
that's thing with cyanide,if they add something, they remove something
pcm serie was affected too bad of this

I wasn't saying that TDF 2012 is better than 2013 (as you said, I haven't even ever played the game, let alone have an opinion on which is better), I was just talking my point of view concerning the game's scale

This is great! That's almost exactly what i always imagined how the 3D Part should look like (seeing the effort on the animations, having an impact at the actual speed and others struggling to follow - and it looks so naturally smooth!)
Wow! I can totally see that changing the mountain AI to the best of the series. I Just hope it feels as good as it looks like in that video.
I'm a little confused that it's really Cyanide who just made me a bit excited |

I reckon that after last season, they're obliged to put in British National Championships now. |
