Looking great, but you have to gain more time on Evans in the Alps. 1'19 ain't enough for the ITT!!

It probably will be actually. I rode the TdF with Cadel, I was 1'23" behind, and oonly gained 58" in the time-trial despite Cadel having 96 fitness, and finihsing 3rd on the stage behind Martin and Cancellara. Andy is overrated in TT on PCM.

if Andy has a good day it could happen.

Yes, but you played with Evans, while he's playing with Schleck... when you're playing hard, the stats are against you. So the real difference on TT between Evans and Schleck, if you're playing with Evans on hard, might be about 6 stats, but if you're playing with Schleck, it might be 8 stats (I can't remember the exact 'formula', but it should be something like that). So, yeah, if you're playing hard/extreme there is a difference in the time gap when you change the rider you're playing with.

But Andy is performing really well, and with his form on top for the last week, he should get more time on Cadel before the TT. Come on Andy!

Race Review

Andy Schleck comes in with a slim lead over the other favourites, but missing from that list now are the two AG2R riders Hubert Dupont and Nicolas Roche who both had to abandon after a horrible crash yesturday.
(Let's just say AG2R found a new driver for their team car.)

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2016/OffPace.jpg

Bad luck for Bennati and Brice Feillu today, two flat rear tires. They struggle to the finish and are never able to make it back in the peloton.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2016/Breakaway.jpg

At the other end of the race the morning breakaway of 12 leads by 8 minutes as we near the ony climb on today's route.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2016/BreakawaySplit.jpg

Sebastian Langeveld makes the first move, which results in a fury of attacks to get away as the peloton has cut their lead down to 5 minutes.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2016/FSchleckAttack.jpg

As the peloton reaches the climb, older brother Frank takes off. And at first nobody takes the bait, Until ...

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2016/BassoAttack.jpg

Basso takes up the challenge, Roman Kreuziger eventually falls off the pace, but Evans and Andy follow right behind.
In a few kilometers they catch up to Frank.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2016/1kmtogo1.jpg

Back up front Sebastian Langeveld is leading Julien El Fares,
and 3 remaining breakaway riders to line.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2016/Finish1.jpg

But it's Juan Antonio Flecha that sprints past Langeveld to take the win.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2016/1kmtogo2.jpg

More breakaway riders battle it out for 6th.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2016/1kmtogo3.jpg

And the last two breakaway men come home 2 minutes before the real finish starts, which will be for 13th place.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2016/Finish2.jpg

Evans outsprints Andy at the line,
no time lost or gain today for any of the favourites.

WOW, this was a great read I'm new to PCM playing on the 2010 game, this just sold me on getting the 11' game! Great read and awesome job keeping the race in control.

Tour de France Stage 17

Race Review

The Tour is down to 5 stages, Andy was 3 stages to push out his lead over Velits and Evans before the crucial stage 20 ITT.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2017/SprintPoint.jpg

Breakaways come and go, but by the sprint point everything is brought back together, but the sprinters don't have the desire to go after the points.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2017/Breakaway.jpg

Eventually a breakaway does get clear, but struggle to get a large gap.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2017/BreakawayCaught.jpg

Frank Schleck brings everyone back together on the final climb,
is anyone going to test Andy today?

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2017/BassoAttack.jpg

Ivan Basso takes the challenge, Andy is the only to counter. Evans shows no interest.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2017/TopofClimb.jpg

Basso and Schleck create a gap, only a short downhill section before the finish.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2017/1kmtogo.jpg

But the downhill does them in,
everyone is brought back together 1200 meters out.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2017/Finish.jpg

And its Cadel Evans that outsprints the rest for the win. Good thing the tour doesn't give out bonifications. No time gained or lost,
Andy is down to 2 stages to make his mark.

Im sure Andy will win the Tour with the support of his brother!

He will drop Evans on the galibier and take enough time befor the TT.

Andy Will win the tour if you have à tactic and I think you have so....

Evans isn't too far behind and remember he can time trial as well as climbFrown

That is iffy... They caught you on a downhill? one heck of a train pulling you back. Still like you said no time for coming in first so it's looking very good for Andy.

Tour de France Stage 18

Race Review

Today starts with the monster climb of Col Agnel, followed by Col d'Izoard 20 kms later, and finishes on top of Galibier. If this three climbs don't sort out the field surely Alpe-d'Huez will tomorrow.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/SprintPoint.jpg

At the sprintpoint in Verzuolo 45kms into the stage a breakaway has been formed and leads by 4 minutes.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Breakaway1.jpg

Brice Feillu keeps the breakaway in check as we start climb.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/BreakawayCaught.jpg

10kms later there is no breakaway,
Brice Feillu does an excellant job on the front today.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Climb1-1.jpg

With Leopard heading the front of the peloton, nobody wants to challenge the balance of power. Exect for Garate who just wants the KoM points.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Climb1-2.jpg

But, Andy Schleck leads the peloton over Col Agnel, anyways.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Climb2-1.jpg

Leopard is keeping the tempo high heading into the next climb.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Climb2-2.jpg

As a results, no attacks exect for Garate after the KoM points again.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Climb2-3.jpg

This time Garate takes the points, the peloton is down to 60 men after a high paced climb set by Feillu and Voigt.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Climb3-1.jpg

It doesn't take long after for the first major attack of the day by Rodriguez.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Climb3-2.jpg

But his attack goes nowhere and with 20kms to go everyone is all together.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Climb3-3.jpg

Rodriguez launches again, Peter Velits tags along. But his efforts are short lived again, they get nowhere.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Climb3-4.jpg

With Frank running out of energy after setting the tempo for the last 15kms, Andy makes his move, Ivan Basso is all over it.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Climb3-5.jpg

As Andy slowly loses energy, Basso is picking up steam.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Climb3-6.jpg

Schleck better close the gap soon or Basso is free, and don't look back but Velits and Evans have just made their attacks.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Climb3-7.jpg

Basso breaks the elastic band, and now Andy can only hope not to loss time after his tatics failed him today.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Finish1.jpg

Ivan Basso is comming on strong here in the last week and needs 2 minutes to take yellow away from Andy.

i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/mresuperstar4/Tour%20de%20France/Stage%2018/Finish2.jpg

But luckily Evans and Velits put up a strong chase and only giving up a 1'18'' gap. So Andy Schleck dodges a massive dissaster to only suffers a minor blow to his confidence heading into Alpe-d'Huez.
