This was a disappointment, the 'hill only' stage weight never helped but why weren't we in the breaks?

Thanks for all the compliments, you guys This race sure was fun to report, despite some of the AI decisions, but in the end I think this was overall an acceptable race.
And sorry about stage 4, I should have checked it properly. Glad this didn't get to hold the game flow.

With the depth I honestly had hoped for another breakaway attempts on the last two stages. In especially Thurau or Villella were minutes behind and should have tried.
Olivier though once more with a super performance. 20th GC is okay for him. A stage win and the mountain jersey bringing the needed points to keep the pprd up. 4th in points and 7th in U25 add some nice bonus.
Bazzana also once more with a nice performance 30th and being active with 4th in KoM. Not bad.
So in total a pretty good race for me on not the best suited terrain. When looking for something you only find something that could have been better I guess. In the end I can be very happy with such outcome.
Thanks gustav for replaying the race and the quick reports then. |

Hmm, my wrongly designed the true Czech "mountain" stage accidently used as a hilly stage, I see. But I think the outcome wasn't the worst. Decent race AI wise for a PCM14 AI and Vakoc did quite well, which is a nice thing to see.

Satisfying last stage for Di Maggio, nice to see him stay with the best and happy we achieved at least one goal this season.
Gratz to LLS and Evonik making one of their win goals, the gamble seems to pay off. And finally thanks to Gustav and tsmoha for fine reporting under not so easy conditions!

Thanks for this Gustav, great job in tricky circumstances. Very good race for us, with Kadri overachieving once again. Is it too much to expect that he wins in Nelspruit now? |

Would be great if one day a race like this could see the stage win contested by the favourites every day. The wait goes on, but at least there were gaps behind, making it difficult for any of the breakaway riders to sustain a real high GC place.
Lloyd is such a reliable winner for Lululemon, but unlucky that Chernobyl missed out on a first win of the season.
7th is reasonable enough for Dowsett although he was very quiet, and never really in it. Teklit and Amanuel managing Top 30 positions is good.
LLS and Monfort continuing their great seasons - Risa showing good form recently too with a couple of strong GC places here.

Appauling start, how many times has that happened to the team? Of course it doesn't exactly get better. Until Lloydy does his thing, a stage win is just fine in a race that really isn't for us.
