Thanks again for your valuable insight of the things you experienced while testing the stage!
You're right about the less realistic look of the wide roads, I use them regardless of that fact in almost every stage (except TT's). Reason is I faced many annoyences while playing. To often the road was blocked by slower riders in crucial situations. When I regognized the AI is also blocking itself and water-carrying was introduced (once it took my rider 30km to get upfront again), I decided to make the stages less realistic looking (regarding the width of the road) and therefor with better playability.

Well, thats understood mate.
But then some races are truly important to have narrow roads. A true hell when racing (even in RL) but yet it too adds a level and understanding on the course.
I know it sometimes takes for ever to get those bottles to the front, but then that was also the case in RL.
In all aspect it's a balance between playabilty, feal for the race, and how it really looks in RL. Not easy to be sure.
Couldn't you try to switch between narrow city roads and wider country roads.
Imagine The Eneco Tour, with not more than 2-3 bikers width on some passages. Real murder. Lincoln GP the same with it's terrible cobble hills.
To mention it I haven't really understood how roads can be changed , wider or more narrow. Still learning, hm

I see were you're coming from, but I won't use narrow roads as long as the AI isn't changed to the better. It's not that you didn't get blocked on wider roads... imo it's just less likely that it blows your race.
Especially for a race like Classic Loire Atlantique (or any flat circuit race) I won't recommend to change to narrow roads. Flat classics are showing the worst of PCM-AI. Quite often Ai-riders suddenly stop chasing and if you don't have the chance to get you guys upfront or in attacking position quickly the race could be already down the drain.
The width of roads can be adjusted by changing "Voies". When "Spline" is unticked it just changes for the marked road point.
When "Spline" is ticked the width of the whole road changes.

I'm learning something every day. Thanks mate. I try out that road thing.
I got a small (hm big perhaps) request to put on your list of future stage making.
When you now working on Classic Loire and that this race is part of the famous
Coupe de France PMU I would like you to have a look at the race with longest name I think
La Roue Tourangelle Région Centre - Classic Loire Touraine Vignobles & Chateaux
It is the ONLY race in this Coupe that is in the infamous cdx form.
https://www.laroue...m/archives
have the last 4-5 parcours with much info on almost everything about the race. Strange that all creators have managed to miss this race. As far as I can see only the FCD database has it in this cdx-file form. All other DBs have missed it.
Since it's being part of this Coupe de France it has great value, and it is a UCI 1.1 too of course.
This could be your Holy Grail mate. However I see that it looks
very complicated to be sure.
Still I hope you (or someone) pick up the gauntlet.

I'm not open to requests rigth now, actually. Won't add any 2014 races to my list, too. But I keep an open eye for the 2015 Roue Tourangelle route release, maybe I'll make a quick one then.
Next released stage will (most likely) be the 2015 edition of Vuelta Ciclista a La Rioja. Although I guess it won't get finished within the next week.

I will give this road advice a go. Thanks
Glad if you could make any stages, since they always include so much environment that is enjoyable to experience while playing.
Guess this is the kind of roads you like so much

Spot on. This is one of the typical, real rural roads I'm talking about.

Rioja will take a few more days, but I finally managed to get the fluff done for a fantasy stage I started creating more than a half year ago.
Started the small London circuit once to see if it is possible to cross the tower bridge IB. Maybe some of you might enjoy the race:

This was a truly nice race. Starting outside The Tower of London, crossing Tower Bridge, coming up towards Big Ben and back to the Tower. Having a nice view of London Eye in the process when coming back on the Embankment.
What was lacking ??? Well, perhaps you should have made the circuit a bit longer than some 10k, having it starting perhaps having the race start further north (perhaps outside White Hart Lane) or even further north on the A10.
The finish could have been on Whitehall, like Tour of Britain.
My humble suggestions, if you like to expand this very nice piece.

Thanks a lot , sutty!
Grateful, you're taking a closer look again, clamel!
You're right it would have been much nicer with an enhanced route. Remember I have thought about extending it to Buckingham Palace to get another of the nice IB's covered..., but like to keep things more simple when testing stuff.
PS: The zcts-file of the London race can be downloaded here.

Well, Margh
as always a great race. Tried it out and put the new conti-team Murias Taldea in the race.
Controlled them, but just gave them D.S orders of course. Aritz Bagues went crazy and took a solo raid after some 30km. Almost held out, but was caught in the small speedy lap-race inside Logrono. Just 5 km from the line. What a shame. Great effort by the former Euskadi man. Ventoso took the sprint.
Kind of nice getting this race from Logrono shortly after I have had sad experience from the Vuelta 2014 stage 12. The race around Logrono in last years Vuelta was in the PC game (I think), but looked silly. It had NO villages or city, just a bare landscape, since whoever made the stage forgot to put in cities. A bad mistake.
I know the route of that stage is not the same as this Rioja, but I would love to experiment with this zcts-file to try and recreate a more city like version of Vuelta 14 stage 12.
Could you please release this zcts, for this purpose.
I know, play-ability rules, but still some of the roads could have been a tiny bit narrower.
Figure how you would have created Le Samyns new selection of the Rue Bellevue. A stretch of road as insane as it could be. It even looked like bomb-crators from WWI was still present beside and on that cobble sections.
I believe someone said a back-road to the back-road.
Luckily the brave men didn't add to the carnage from times past.
Thumbs up however for this new 1-day race.

Thanks again for your feedback, clamel! It's really appreciated.
To be honest... it hurts a little when making wide cobbled roads. Just because they're never wide in real life. So in a few cases I make an exception.
Maybe the new trajectory-feature will be used by AI riders, too... in future PCM releases, although I'm not that optimistic
The short, final Rioja circuit has it's drawbacks, too. While testing, once riders got dropped early and than lapped. Yields into a kind of funny finish shot with the broom waggon in the midst of the bunch sprint.
Enjoy experimenting with the Rioja-zcts,
it can be downloaded by clicking here.

I haven't DL the new patch, and to be honest not sure about this trajectory stuff. I play the game more as a D.S. (from behind the peloton I guess) Telling the riders on which side of the road to ride is kind of more arcade style IMHO. Perhaps I got it wrong.
I would more like to trust (heaven forbid) the AI working for me when giving the rider instructions on trying to make an attack. If Cyanide include a more general order to give team for the days strategy I would have been more happy. It feels more right to give the team lets say the order to get into most breaks that happens and let the road captain direct who goes. More like .1 and .2 races, with no radios.
I agree on that last comment to. When peloton gets lapped it looks strange, and those commy cars and support cars always acts strangely. I would actually like to OMIT all cars, since they really only play a stupid role in the game.
They add more strange happenings than real life views.
In fact commissars cars could get tangled up in RL too, I know for fact he-he
Thank God for the Broom Wagon however
I will surely mess up Rioja, and I will get back ith Qs
