Well it's just strange. Ofcourse the French have pcmFrance but there are German, Norge, Danish, Belgian/Dutch forums aswell. And they are all presented here. Me, I am a member of pcmfocus as well but have never posted on there. This one's cooler and a good way to train my English.

Fact is - only the French can get close to matching PCMDaily in forum activeness/coolness

The german forums are actually like a grave yard... Its where threads go after they died...
That should explain Roturns and the other germans presence here...

Alright, let's teach the youngest a little history...
Once upon a time, that cycling game came out, and the producers had their forum, which soon got split into two communities. One French-speaking, one English-speaking. As the producers primarily spoke French, they were much less helpful and informative with the English-speaking part of their forum/community.
Thankfully for the English-speaking guys, many of them could speak French, and some were kind enough to translate the most useful bits that had not been translated by the producers.
Still, as the number of "foreigners" grew up, the interest for the English-speaking half decreased, so, inevitably some guys parted, that's how many national communities got created (Benelux, Portugal, Spain, Germany, etc.). Others were created by common interest (PPDB, then PCM.Daily, etc.).
It took much longer for the old French to successfully quit. The bigger the game got, the most paranoid and restrictive Cyanide forums had become. I had already left back then, partly because of the frustration with the lack of care for the vanishing English-speaking community, partly because they'd still allow French-speaking guys with no interest in PCM to keep bullying newbies flood the forum with crap, etc. Partly because of personal reasons too.
Cyanide's more repressive policy eventually pushed those guys and other ancient members left Cyanide forums to form the exCya community.
Other French communities (such as PCM assistance) got created but never really took off.
I'm not too sure how the other French communities I've read about here-above got created in the process. I was already history back then. |

I was more active here on Daily than on the German forum since I started to be in PCM forums. But I used to be a bit more active there from 2009-2011 with posting stages and helping other members. But in the end it`s pretty dead except for 1-2 months after the release. 3-4 years it was a bit more active over the year as well. But even their "betting threads", which are active over the year have a base of ~20 members, who are there year for year.
And actually most Germans, who are here, aren`t really on the German forum.
I think you still post the most of all of us there. Except for you it`s actually just Lachi and altehacke being active in both.

The only thing in PCM Focus are people hating on each other, it's funny to read, but incredibly annoying as well

Apparently some PCM communities haven't really evolved since last time I played PCM. |

There are two if I'm not mistaken? RSM and Sattlerei?

Yeah... well... I post a few shirts from time to time... But I havent been on there for a good month. I think being quite active in two forums should be enough...

Yes. I think Sattlerei is a bit bigger in terms of members when it comes to asking for help etc. RSM-News is also having a nice, small core of active online PCM players I think. Second one is also a bit more active when it comes to real race news etc. It`s a nice small forum but nothing in comparison to this here. |

True. I wish some translating program could translate long stories or reports
