Bardiani, Colombia and Fantini Vini secure Giro d'Italia wild card invitations
Katusha and NetApp-Endura miss out, MTN-Qhubeka invited to Milano-Sanremo
RCS Sport has awarded Giro d'Italia wild card invitations to Bardiani Valvole-CSF Inox, Fantini Vini–Selle Italia and the Colombia team, with NetApp-Endura, IAM Cycling and Katusha missing out on places at the corsa rosa. Androni Giocattoli secured an automatic wild card place thanks to winning the 2012 Coppa Italia race classification that includes all the minor Italian races.

I'm still going to wait on the CAS decision before really commenting.
RCS have made all the right choices i believe though. Should be some good racing in Italy.

It will be great to see MTN in these races. In especially as Ciolek might get a chance to lead them there.
Can`t wait for all these 500m fail sprints. |

I was hoping for NetApp in the Giro, but the rest of the wildcards are okay imo

Cool that 'exotic' teams like Colombia and MTN get more and more chances to prove themselves on the WT calender.

I thought Gilbert actually said something along the lines of "once I get bored of winning classics, I'll lose a bit of weight and try to Top 10 a Grand Tour"
I may be mixing it up with someone else, but Im almost certain it was atleast a classics rider or TT specialist that said this.
Cancellara once said something like: To win the TdF, I would need to lose much weight. And I don't want to do it.
So much about self confidence... |

Maes breaks left collarbone in training accident. Wishing speedy recovery. Durbridge also has a nasty crash while out prepping for the TT tomorrow. Will slightly affect him I would guess.
Anyway, good Giro wildcards. Nice especially giving Colombia a chance to shine.

Sorry for the OFF-TOPIC but can someone please give me a site or something like that where I can see the full schedule for this year ? For example, a site where I can see what races are today, tomorow or on 28 july for example.Like the one on the UCI site, but there they show the schedule only for the Word Tour races.
Thanks.

Upcoming Races, fast updates. Plus much better ranking than UCI WT one.

It's a bit surprising that IAM Cycling couldn't get a wildcard for the giro |

IAM wasn't even considered it seems, pic
Anyway, Colombia, Androni and Vini Fatini had more to offer ( at least at this Giro's parcours ). Bardiani porbably deserved it least, but they're Italian. Still not a bad team they can field.

Androni is a clear pick. I hope Colombia will use their wild card well |

Androni were automatically in, leaving 3 spots.
There were two other italian teams, leaving 1 spot.
Colombia offers the most marketing and global spread of those left.
Really good choices with clear reasoning

The UCI site has all races, you just need to change the calendar which you're looking at, from World Tour to UCI Europe Tour/America Tour/the one you like.
CQ Ranking is very good but only has registered the upcoming races, so you can't look today at which races there July 28th f.e. (only when we get nearer to that).
