I said it and I'll say it again. Tony Martin is not in any good shape this year (I know he had a puncher in this one). Even if he didn't had that mishap he wouldn't have won. Quick step has really messed him up. I think Tony should do like Wiggins and start training to be a GC contender.
He'll turn his season around in time to win both the Olympics and Worlds (at least i hope so)
I wouldn't say quickstep as opposed to just plain bad luck, after all the rest of the team has been outstanding

Chava did AMAZING. Only +27 secs behind Cance in his top form. That's really impressive |

Without the flat tire he would have been somewhere close to Cancellara. That´s only possible with a good form. That he sucks today is no surprise. Have you ever seen a rider with a fracture perform at his best level?

He's had a bad year but lots of disruption. I think the signs were good for him coming good this month but it's impossible to know how much diffrence the injury made. Imagine we would notice it if we were riding flat out with a broken hand! However, not just today but has the pain through th week taken it out of him too though you could also say he has sat at the back and rested depending on your take. Guess only he can guess what difference it might be making. |

He won't win anyway, so don't worry about it.

This is looking good for me! On my manager team on Norwegian TV2 I have Van Garderen, Cancellara, Chavanel, Froome, Wiggins, Velits and Evans.
Maybe I'll finally do well in one of these competitions!
