Mainly a mix of Portuguese immigrants + African slaves + indigenous people, but then a lot of immigrants groups came here from 1800 onwards (Italians, Japanese, German, Spaniards, quite a lot of places actually). My family (at least from my mother) comes from Italy, some 5 or so generations ago (which explains the "Luigi", which is kinda the Italian form of my name - Luis).

Not really Luigi was already taken in the site (2 years ahead of me ), and every time I double only one letter of the usual nickname, I can never remember which one it is when trying to log in (of course now it wouldn't be a problem, but I had absolutely no idea PCMDaily would become my #1 visited site according to Chrome when I first signed here to download the PCM09 2010 DB )

I'm curious. Did anyone sign up here to actually become active on the forum, or did they just want to download something, and then notice that the forum is pretty cool?

I can't stand not being able to voice my opinions.

I came at the beggining to download DB's, but eventually I found out that forum had much to offer apart from awesome DB's. |

Not sure, it was so long ago, and probably so unimportant, that I can't remember.
At least, judging by the date of my subscription, I was still a PCM player and an active member of the Cyanide community.
I probably registered to give some informations about the game on the forum. |

As one could guess based on my last post, I fit on the latter. Now, re-seeing my first posts, just noticed that my first post outside of a thread of my own interest (=questions of the game), was a comment in janne's Radioshack story. So thanks, Stories forum, for slowly driving me into the rest of the forum And btw, looking at my post #1, it was first answered by you valverde

I joined when you didn't have to register to download. Registered to post a forum question, got an irrelevant answer to it, then didn't post again for months

I signed up to post my prediction for the 2010 Giro, not to download anything. Seems like I'm one of the cool kids.

Came here to play Guess the Cyclist and download DB's. Then I started to realize this is awesome as hell and began posting more until I reached 4300 posts. |

At this point I thought our members had evolved to a stage where everyone knows that the smiley is the official sarcasm symbol.
