Well after his season and having great all-around stats and acc I hoped he could and thought he could but wasn't expecting it - fantastic performance from him. Yeah shame he couldn't hold on to Kaspa or Spengler's wheels - Spengler at least probably could've outsprinted with energy in the tank and a real shame he couldn't quite get the medal but top 5 is amazing
P.S. He's mine forever

Great reporting for the ITT and U23 RR. Congrats to Phinney and Kasperkiewicz (who took a nice home victory!)
Weird timings for the ITT but had it mentioned that it is because of the cobbles messing with the AI. Good result from Tzortakis, who I will say was technically 15th rather than 29th

Great report, just so disappoitning to see Vanbilsen crash out before the race even started. I doubt we'll ever have a better shot at the WC jersey.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well everyone expected Bewley to win, but he thouroughly deserved that. Animating the race and edging out a tight fought finish, he was seriously challenged for the win. Full credit to Senechal and Burghardt for making it so close.
Geraint Thomas 4th place, heck yeah! Way way above my expectation for him ahead of the race. And he looked pretty good through the race. Definitely looked like some in-fighting in the GB squad and amongst various riders in the latter stages. Smart racing from G to get the result and Best Brit tag. We're certainly getting our Podium Ambition riders to race inteligently.
Dissapointing from the Bulgarians. Only 31st and no visibility at all. Had hoped they'd be able to show something in what will be a rare Elite WC appearence.
But 4th for G. Awesome worlds for Podium Ambition. Awesome worlds all-round!

Disappointing to have such a great cobbled season and then have such a world championship with Baugnies crashing out and Langeveld not even at the start. Similiar for Lierse and Azteca. Overall the three strongmen in the PCT w/o any luck in this race. Team Belgium clearly the biggest loser of this race.
Congratz to Bewley, amazing feat and also congratz to tsmoha and uhm, whoever owns Senechal, I don't know
Strava leaving the WC with a silver medal for Potts is still awesome and well worth celebrating. Thanks to jandal and the hoyle for covering the World Championships, especially the last report was fantastically written!

One hell of a Worlds RR! Great report from you jandal and really captured the moment and the tension.
Bewley was the favourite and delivered by animating the race and causing the splits. Congrats to him and Roman for his victory. Will be good to see those rainbow bands hitting the cobbles next season

I'm rather disappointed by the race. Great report (as all WC races) but the lack of actions is quite a bummer. Some crashes that really hurt the attacks as many contenders were eliminated through them but also the tactics of Belgium were hilariously stupid. With the number advantages surely they should have tried something at any point.
At least we've got the perfect winner for this race as Bewley is the one deserving a rainbow jersey after being the dominant classic rider for multiple seasons now.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Bewley is a ManGame legend and he surely deserves this rainbow jersey.

Damn it Nolf! Why did you have to bring Maes down...
Good to see Kasperkiewicz take the U23 race though

Good to see that the final 15 kilometers lived up to the hype, after the race being disappointingly quiet before that. Nevertheless, thank you for a brilliant report, jandal7!
Truly enjoyed it, eventhough Kristoff's bad luck was a bitter pill to swallow. Though, nice to see Norway join the breakaway, but admittedly the best cobblers are on quite another level compared to Ringheim, Breen and Kristoff, so missing a top result was always to be expected.
And huge congratulations to Roman! Nice to see Bewley claim that rainbow jersey, and as the report describes it, truly deserved as well looking at the racing. Strongly doubt the curse of the rainbow jersey will affect Bewley next season, he's just too good for that! |

It had to be Bewley.. deserved title. Congrats, Roman!
Still satisfied with Burghardt here. Kinda mixed feelings about the final kms, as he might have been a bit too impatient for one moment. Not sure if he have had a shot against Bewley otherwise, but at least the 2nd place might have been possible. But on the other hand, it's good he gave it a try. Another medal for Oz, nice stuff.
Thanks for an epic report! Huge efforts from our WC reporters here.

That was a fantastic report! Really was hoping for Senechal in all honesty, since he did ride for us one year as a loanee, but Bewley winning is also cool, and as one of the best riders in Man Game history it just seems fitting for him to win the race and claim the Rainbow jersey.

Was always going to be Bewley. Glad to see that despite the crashes, the others definitely made a race of it. Tom David too, that was a pretty phenomenal ride from him as a supporting rider.

Everyone pretending to have read all of that report and then congratulating Bewley even if no one really means it.
Good old MG
Great report, and gratz to Bewley, a legend like him deserved WC title,
Congratulations to Roman and every MG manager that had a rider finish the race.

Niki somehow the best of Denmark and in the top 50 gave me a smile. I'll take it.

Congratulations Bewley!
Team USA's race (and my betting) was ruined after Summerhill's crash, think he could've ridden top 5 if he stayed up.
Thanks jandal and the_hoyle for the great reports throughout the Worlds!

Cool final and great job on the report jandal! Predictable winner, but guess it was time a MG legend like Bewley got the rainbow jersey.
Shame Veelers fell, might've been in the top 10 otherwise.

Great report. Lack of action with attacks, but plenty with all the crashes. Seeing how well Trentin finished the race, it's a shame that he crashed, but he certainly wasn't alone in crashing. Bewley the winner, as expected, congrats Roman! Good to see Juul-Jensen in the break, but otherwise not a great showing from our riders. Especially Wisniowski should have done better on Home soil.
