Nope the limit was 17:00 CET I think. Could also be 18 but not after midnight

FFS, that makes 0 sense, 1 PM comes after 12 PM, what?!!!, but if it's true (and I know it is because I already checked, I'll have to deal with it, but the time I stupidly lost finding the biggest amount of TdF winners that I could is gone.

I'd put some of it down to the type of challenge. For anyone who's played either survivor or last years bb has done either this challenge before or one incredibly similar to it. I'd also know that unless i had the time to kind of seriously go through many stories that i wouldn't win because someone would have that time, so why put in any effort if i know i'm going to lose before i can begin?
Just thinking out-loud as an outsider

Yes, I will give exceptions for that, so I guess that rule should not exist.

Agree with this. I just copied the first 30 (or were it 25?) winners from the Survivor GT winner challenge, got another 20 from the "Project 2030 and beyond" stories as well as one other story that played in 2030 and that was enough to win it.
While my result looks like 10 hours of work but i can tell you that it was much less work since I found 47 of them in just 4 threads and the others in only 5/6 long running stories.

A think the $100 fine is fine but the 50$ deduction should not be there since sometimes people do not WANT to make a submission due to different reason.

I knew the challenge looked quite familiar... 
Knew I didn't have enough time to compete for the win so I didn't bother trying, sorry just being honest. Very tedious task for only one person and so many people left in the game still.

Looking into a single story secured me the 5th place.
As i already told via pm to jdog, it wasn't effortless, but I just couldn't afford to waste hours in the story section, if it was held on the weekend I'd have probably done 30+.
