It must have been my doping accusation, that 3rd place was so suspicious...
Jokes aside, Valverde started attacking often now, I can remember at least 2 or 3 solo wins like this during the last year.

Uuh, seemed like at good race. And gutted to see him solo-win as the many haters on here will be troubled more and more with pulling the wbeelsucker-card.

Tim Wellens 2nd, I really expect a lot from him this year.
Tiesj Benoot 8th, good result for him as well.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

We hate on him because he wheelsucks, why would we hate on him when he does the opposite? I think it awesome to watch him attack he is clearly an extremely talented rider but in many races he never took a chance instead going for the safe move. |

Gianni Meersman takes out the inaugural Cadel Evans Road Race ahead of Simon Clarke and Nathan Haas. Moreno Moser once again finishing within the Top 10 and showing he might be coming back to his best this year.

Great race to watch, exciting with the cross winds and the attacks, Danilo Wyss had an amazing race and Kennaugh was great to watch. Although I think Cannondale and BMC deserved more, Omega rode a great race.
Hats off really to the top ten.
Phil thought an Australian flag was a New Zealand one and the coverage missed the sprint and the decisive climb. All in all a good race that was compounded by horrible coverage.

A great race to watch and while we didn't quite get the fairytale ending, plenty of action and I don't think many neutral followers could be disappointed with how the whole event went. The scenery wasn't as great as it would normally be due to the weather but there's no reason that this can't become a big annual race, maybe even World Tour in the future.

I think he was just trying to have a joke with Matt Keenan rather than actually thinking it was a Kiwi flag, but then again he did keep on calling Patrick Shaw as Patrick Lane...
Coverage was always going to be a bit hit-and-miss, considering the only cycling I can remember ever seeing on Ch7 was the Olympic events. If they cover it again next year it should be better.

Pelucchi also wins the 2nd flat Trofeo on Mallorca. Very well done.

I could see Pellucchi winning a few stages in T-A and Giro d' Italia if he keeps this up. Italy needs a new star sprinter, not sure if he is that tho, but its definetely looking good for him so far. Coquard, Greipel and Swift arent no names.. |

Riding behind Dunne surely provides great slipstream.
He though is really a poor guy.

And former Giro d'Italia stage winner Damien Monier finished 4th.
Also surprised that Tabriz isn't powning this race already. |

It`s nice to see that Thömel`s good performances for Team Stuttgart in the Tour of China I/II delivered him a last minute contract for RCS-Santic Racing Team.
I guess he should be able to get some good results for them during the season.
Today he was pretty close to a stage win.
