Kwiatkowski signed extension with Sky till 2020. He's practically best buddies with Froome so no surprise.
more importantly, he delivered on the big promise when he first came to sky. monument win, strade bianche win, top results in the classics and what a tour he has ridden.

Astana trying to build a team for a class sprinter next year. (80% sure it's Kristoff) Cort Nielsen on the way in. I guess that make sense with Trentin going to Orica.
Norwegian TV claim Kristoff is set for UAE, so doubt it. |

Kristoff wont make Astana class sprinter team anyway, beside Vino is always GT ambition team manager. |

I don't think that Kristoff can make a big quality step for Astana in winning races, can't remember his last WT win (maybe two years ago?) and this year wasn't even close to achieve something by far...
i'm curious to see how Norway will manage him and EBH in home wc

He delivered Milano Sanremo win by sucking Sagan`s wheel till the last metres and then won by 1cm/inch whatever. Yeah I know useless comment I just dont like SKY
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Yeah that will be interesting. Dual leadership or someone leading out the other, who knows. I remember that in Richmond EBH wasn't allowed to chase Sagan alongside GVA bc he had orders to work for Kristoff and norwegian coach was pretty persistent on that. Hopefully this won't be the case in Bergen. In current form, Kristoff stands little chance when he can't even hold the wheel of Groenewegen, and best bet seems to be EBH atm, both through an attack and bunch sprint.

So much discussion on that. The coach already confirmed they would get dual leadership but that was said very emotionally after the scandal in Qatar. I think the standing right now is that they will only get dual leadership if Norway get 9 riders, if not they have to choose a captain, and the profile and results this year all points to EBH.
Note: Kristoff were injured and could not sprint at all two days before. I really do believe he could beat Groenewegen if he was not in that crash. For the first time in the tour Katusha did a real leadout....

Jim Ochowicz announced that BMC will close the BMC Developmental Team due to the fact that many of the riders that were formed by this team then decided to sign with other teams rather than stay in BMC. He added also that the costs of having a developmental team often surpass the benefits and that the UCI should introduce some kind of rules to "protect" the main team from losing their best talents. In the article, it's stated that Sivakov's probable signing with SKY was the final nail in the coffin.

Taylor. Phinney.
Yeah, when BMC signed him from Trek-Livestrong they sure weren't complaining about dev riders staying with their parent teams.

2 very surprising signings, but 2 great ones for Majka and Sagan...quality income! Kennaugh could really get his chances in 1-week tours, the mountain force with Majka, Buchmann and hopefully a recovered König grows...
