Kadri very consistent, but this is not what we came for. Join a break for once, please!

Nice and active racing by our guys, even though Aregger couldn't deliver in the final sprint. Happy Zardini didn't give up on the race, showing the other contenders that he would have been someone to take into account without his mishap.

Glad to get those flat stages out of the way, now for some really interesting stages and decisive stages Ahead, would be nice if Slagter could use his superior hill-stat versus the guys at the top at the last possibillity in this race. Otherwise he would need a great day on the mountain stage to stay on the podium With the TT comming up.

Okay we have survived the stages we needed to, now to see Beltran find a really solid day in the hills before showcasing his full array of talent on the mountain. Pulido continuing to give us 4 points every day in this has been fantastic as well. Relegation looks further away again.

I'm not really understanding Meyer here. Always top 20, but seems like he's never in position to use his good sprint in the hilly stages. Had certainly hoped for better.

Well, ultimately crap from Kohl but at least he's listening and tried something.

Perfect ride again, I couldn't ask for more. Keeping yellow for the mountain stage is massively important, and gaining nearly a minute on Kruijswijk and Reis on a supposed damage control stage is brilliant.
Congrats to Slagter yet again. He's a big danger now, but hopefully the TT advantage on our side will be enough.
I'm still worried about Reis, 90 seconds tomorrow and one minute in the TT and the gap is gone. I couldn't complain about third place at all though.

Gratz dev, Slagter is in a good position now. Awesome to see Philbear holding up. Although it doesn't matter much in the GC, especially with this mountain stage coming up, at least it gives us some points along the way. Tomorrow energy saving so maybe we can get another stage win still.

Not a horrible day for us at all, obviously still several good names in front of us, but Beltran is still in solid GC position to pick us up some points at the end, and maybe more importantly is the continuation of Pulido racking up those KoM Points. Tomorrow will be huge in that category, would love to see a day where Pulido makes the break and the GC guys let them have the wins. (Pulido is +27'
For the actual race, Slagter looks to be in a great position, but I'm expecting Reis will close down some time on the mountain, at least a handful of seconds, and then that TT will loom large where Reis has a chance to really make up some ground.

Thank you for another quality report, roturn.
A slightly disappointing stage there for us. Nesset not able to follow the chase group is very understandable considering his hilly stat, but seeing him drop in GC and a rider like Nepomnyachsniy come closer, isn't great. Also hoped to see Dyrnes or Hoelgaard in front and animate this stage, but the former dropping back to help Nesset is also kind of understandable, eventhough he also had Hoelgaard and Stake Laengen to help.
Congratulations, dev! Eventhough the overall win looks difficult for Slagter, he together with Herklotz look good for at least a podium. With the time gains Herklotz got here, he must be the huge favourite for the overall now.
Looking a lot forward to the mountain stage. Admittedly Nesset has done sensationally well to stay in contention for a top 5 overall on the hills, hopefully he can have a great day when the terrain finally turns to his liking. |

The bad news is that we have no room left for error now, the good news is that in theory the next couple of stages should work on our favour (except for Nepom in the TT.
Slagter and Herklotz did pretty well to take advantage of the hills, but they are both pretty strong climbers so this is a very stressful situation. Anyway congrats on the victory, dev!
And thanks for yet another memorable stage roturn!

Apart from the crash a nice day off. Hollenstein somewhat pays for his recent activities, therfor Pat Lane with a better day.
As we are less dependent on Zardinis performance now, it would be nice to join the break tomorrow. Aregger better recovers well from his mishap today, we really need him perform the final stage.

Are you sure Rodrigues has 78MO?
Very impressive performance of Kadri to hang on in the GC like this. The TT will mess it up a bit I'm afraid, but so far it's looking good to reach at least top-10. The rest of the team seems to still be asleep, which is a shame of course. I really have no clue why they don't join a single break.

Very solid stage from our guys with strong riders from both Nesset and Stake Laengen, and also Dyrnes and Hoelgaard limited their losses well. Nepomnyachsniy with a great ride though, which means Nesset should drop to 6th after the TT.
Herklotz as the overall winner looks safe as well now, giving Puma some huge points in the PT. Speaking of which, it has been an outstanding race for several PT teams, mine included, if we look at points scored. Obviously a pity for the PCT teams, who otherwise could have scored some unlikely HC points, given the reduced PCT quality in this race. Congratulations, cio93!
Also congratulations to Gustavovskiy on the stage win. Good to see the favourite come through, eventhough he sure would have liked to gap the others as well, as he should struggle to advance GC wise in the TT.
Thank you for another brilliant report, roturn! |

Thanks for the daily report, roturn. Strava obviously with an off-day getting kicked out of points rank. Hm Modolo still has a chance to win the points jersey I figure except if Reis wins the TT. Let's see.

Yeah, I mean... yeah...
30'' gap was great ahead of tomorrow, but then no gap all of a sudden... I mean it feels good to win, but this was particularly anticlimactic. 2 min to make up for Herklotz is going to be impossible, but now the 2nd place does also seem to be out of reach, which makes me feel disappointed. Thanks anyway
Beautiful stage nonetheless. Congrats fj too. Nepo had me pulling my hair off for quite some time. Tomorrow should be a good stage for him too!
