7th on GC really happy with that so far considering the gulf of talent here, I hope De la Cruz can continue it

CJ Sutton is always someone I love to see, grabbed some decent sprint results over the years and three podiums is great for a guy who should be past the prime. Flat stages after GC dust up are always the prime breakaway territory... no surprise we get one though interesting it was close.
Finally very sad to see last year loanee Chamorra spat out of GC picture, hard to see way back with so many parties ahead.

Once again Petit proves that he's a fantastic leadout, but not really suited to being a sprinter in his own right. 7th isn't bad considering it's 5th without the break, but I think adding a top sprinter may be a priority for next season |

I like how PCM 15 handles breakaways a lot. Not as strict as people thought and not as permissive as PCM 14. Perfect mid path. Thanks for the great reports, it's always so frustrating when a stage doesn't export the results, I know the feel.

Castañeda wakes up from the dead, but Avancini is the one with the cool win for Flores. Congrats TR!
The one who looks to be on drugs is Cassidy btw

Biondo! So close, you magnificant bastard!
Lovely report. Too bad we didn't get that win, but it was a nice showing from our guys and the race is not over yet! |

Sutton? What on earth has happened to our 4th choice sprinter? Really fun to follow him in Tachira!
Thank you for another wonderful report roturn, and good to see that the breakaway makes it some times as well, even though we didn't benefit from it this time |

Ah man not again. Congrats TR, that was a terrific win!
Cassidy though, I've already lost count how many breaks he's been in this season.

On the one hand, Pinot did a great job and looks good for a top 10. On the other hand, who thought it was a good idea to let that break go? |

not surprising when the favourite has that less support here...but impressive that the break lost nearly no time to Machado after his attack...

Wasn't this the stage where Maillet rode to his Tachira victory?
Rodrigues won't be easy to get rid off now! Kinda like those stories, where a former CT champion takes a late career victory. Of course it ain't that AI smart May become a close battle, if Machado and co drop Rodrigues on a crucial climb.. though, iirc, people struggled to open up bigger gaps on the following stages the past years.

Good job PCM...
I guess some guys already regret sending their stars to 10 days long shit race.

Very interesting stage, short so perhaps misleading those climbs are surely much tougher than they look.
Thrilled to see Chamorra who was a happy breakaway rider for Red Bull last year, get away and basically win the young riders jersey for the race. He also could well finish well up in the top 10 at the very least so what a turnaround and a farcical AI performance. Machado didn't have such a bad day as long as the pressure is kept on, though the other favourites may find it difficult to reach such a high position.

Maillet won the 4th stage two years ago. The semi Hill stage.
The main problem in PCM isn't that those breaks survive. It's the struggle to gain time in the final. Machado clearly gained but every time there is an acceleration in front to reduce the numbers they gain it back, which is crazy.
Portos rather weak support here clearly a reason for such successful break as well. |

Quite a letdown these last two stages.
Appollonio didn't score enough points to have a realistic chance of keeping the sprinters jersey till the end and Cataldo lost contact to his contenders on a stage that I never thought could've an impact like that.
Amazing comeback by Rodriguez and Chamorro. We'll see if Machado can set the counterpunch.
Good side effect: Finally my guys are free to spend the coming days in the break... seems to be the place to be, anyway.

I think that is a point PCM should improve. While Porto may lack support, other teams like my team or Aidan's squad have more than enough climbing goats to reduce the gap to the front and to reduce the group. |

What a stage! Enjoyed that alot
Pretty realistic breakaway and scenario here. Rodrigues and Chamorro looks set to both finish around top 5 now.

disagree...why should you help the clear favourite on that stage of the race? it was strange that the 2 very outside favourite teams helped already...
