What a gripping stage, grand report roturn!
Team doing very well and I look forward to the one-day classics already. Unfortunately Langeveld neither won nor got the leader's jersey but going second in both is something I have to be content with, unfortunately we could have had it both if Strava would have made more use of its numbers. At least, Favilli is in striking distance at fifth, I hope he gets a win... somewhat I see him more likely to beat Kruopis than Langeveld but it's good to have two options. Kruopis man to beat after this stage, we'll be tough.
On the bright side, Top 5 goal looks very good to be achieved so I'm happy with that.
Not so happy with our 2agan ambitions so far; three 2nd places, no win. Don't make it a habit.

That's the last time I bet on you! |

Kinney a bit disappointing after all the hard work
But besides that, what a ride by both Rathe and Le Montagner. Working all day long and then riding into the top 10, with Maxime even taking the youth jersey by a big margin!
EDIT: and second in the teams classification!

Really, that sucks for him. Comfortably in the youth jersey and then losing it due to a stupid crash
Congratulation to Carlsberg and De Maar, deserved victory

My compliments to the team for yet another great ride. Flat stage remaining, so there might be a little extra at the end of the ride!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Gougeard and Antomarchi on the attack is a plus, I was hoping for more from the team. Really lived up to our Bottom 5 pre season predictions here...

Strava and podiums, at least we perform...
Top 5 goal is with this pretty much secure, Favilli & Langeveld duo infernale. So I'm good but bitter taste that far more could have been accomplished with some luck. Until which ranks do riders get points in GC final? Might get something with Selvaggi and Tulik still, which we'd be great of course.
Gratz to Carlsberg.

Great reports and enjoyable race action as well.
Cool to see Sulzberger continuing his good form here. He's obviously better off in CT than anywhere else. Red Bull/Oz alumni can't disappoint anyway

BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!!!
What a victory by De Maar! He was attacking for so long!
I thought after the cobbled stage we were done for. That was where we needed to make our differences. But that turned out not to be the case! Stevenson picks up an aggressive podium to prove his worth of resigning, and De Maar delivers a fantastic performance on stage 5!
That gives me my first completed goal for stage wins in this race, and (maybe) my team's first stage race win! Really happy with this! Pretty sure it was a GC goal for me last year. If I had De Maar earlier it would have been my win goal instead of GP Herning.
But no matter! For once, in my Man Game life, I couldn't be more thrilled!
Edit: Shame Sabatini got injured though...

De Maar? This has been such a weird race. Thought he may have been able to win the cobbled stage, but not a hill stage. And then again, a sprinter with 70hil nearly managed to defeat guys like Langveld and Vastranata.
Anyway, good to see a win for Carlsberg. But of course a shame to lose the leaders jersey. Hope to climb back onto the podium tomorrow with a nice stage result.

I actually liked this a lot.
Riders with a good cobble stat obviously recovered better after that stage and were stronger than those with a bit better hill but an awful cobbled stat like Gaimon or Kuboki. |

Nice to see the team well represented in the top 20, but still a high gc place eludes us to this point
Also, what the heck Aulas, the terrain was hilly and had cobbles, yet you cant manage anything |

Congrats to Carlsberg on the GC.
As somewhat of a filler race for us, I'm more than happy to take away a stage win, points and 4th GC
Thanks for the entertaining reports throughout the race, too.

Pff Peeters
But a top 10, mountain jersey and youth jersey on top of that stage win, good race for us!
Almost forgot, thank you for the good and quick reports and the fun bets
