It is a bit surprising to see Matthews beaten there, but underlines how unpredictable sprints can be. A bad train can completely screw you up but a good train doesn't necessarily deliver the win because other sprinters can kick off that.
Strange gaps behind, not going to effect this series but a worry when the season proper kicks off!

Phew, Cooper made it in selection. But Tennant kicked out, he would have been fun with his great Flat stats.
Nice win for Bennett, stealing the show from aussie sprinters.

Though it must be said, that I set a pretty low time_gap value for the finish here. So instead of the usual 20 for flat stages, it's something like 5-7 here. That's most likely the reason for those minor splits there.

Thanks for allowing us to take part as a team btw
all I can say is that we were involved in the break away and Rowe got his 6th-7th place again which seems to be his favourite at the Crits, hope things can improve in the other rounds!

Hmmm... the more I ridicule Ayubowen the more the do well... I can sense a pattern for the season here.
In a way a breakaway keeps things very tense in the battle for the bay crits. Hope my Chinese wake up for the hilly one.

Good ride by Hepburn and Drapac so far. The Pat's Veg Cycling team with a nice start in the series. Hope Patrick Lane will take his chances the next stage while it will be all-in for Drapac the last day.

Nice Sri Lankan win there a tale of things to come in PCM 14?
Not great looking at our team but Meenhorst is doing well in the sprints, as well as Rowe, still finished around 7th in the bunch sprint. Excited about the hill crit though!

I thought a best stage result of 53rd was bad on the opening day but 61st here was even worse. I'm not sure how long they can keep this up, surely they'll run out of guys to beat them soon.
How does the game know they are unlikely to have any pre season form?

Fantastic result for us!
Hopefully Sisira can repeat this later in the season. Don't expect a climber to win a stage like this, so very impressed. Thanks for the kind words everyone |

Cam Meyer doesn't seem to be going to badly. A win would be nice though.

Good win for Edmonson. Great to see Uchima ride himself to a podium, promising signs for the season indeed!
