The new jersey is moo-rvelous. I immediately had the subliminal thought of a cow before even reading the supporting text, so certainly does its job! Although a difficult season for Live-Nation, this new incarnation has a solid base of talents to work with and build around. Good luck!

Scorchio: Thanks. Happy the jersey gives the associations I want. With this season in the bag it felt natural to completely change the look and name of the team. I doubt many sponsors would stick with us after this season anyway
With the main part of the season over it's time to evaluate how it went.
Looking at the goals we failed miserably. For a large part due to having set the goals before the transfer season began and not getting the riders we had hoped for.
The win in Himmerland was great though - however surprising.
Exactly how we achieved that win in Denmark will forever remain a mystery. Especially since Mattias was nowhere near any other sprint wins the entire season with his 4 stage top 10's in the Middle East incl. A 5th place as best being the only other slightly noteworthy results from him.
Nevertheless he was signed with Himmerland in mind, and will get a new contract for that same reason.
Another Swede with both impressive and disappointing days was Viktor Renäng, who got us two prologue wins and a few other strong ITT-results.
He did struggle quite a bit when having to ride in later stages. Him and Pökälä will be a very strong duo to send to races with a TT for us next year.
After having failed to get a hilly leader of the quality we had hoped in the transfer season Cioban found himself promoted to that position. That is not a position he should hold. A very disappointing season from him with two stage 7th as best results and two utterly failed goals to his name.
Just as disappointing, perhaps more, was our biggest earner Lovassy. The hungarian was invited onto our team to be an underdog in the cobbled races and chase stage results through breaks thanks to his decent finishing skills. In short he pretty much sicked all season and will find himself unemployed again after this season.
Chris Anker Sørensen on the other hand did pretty much what we expected og him even though a bit more agressive riding at times and perhaps especially a bit more luck would have been nice at times. At this moment I have a hard time seing a scenatio where he does not remain on the team.
The same goes for the late season big surprise Ignacio Sarabia. Sarabia will of course not be our leader anywhere but he have proven himself a very useful lieutenant as well as a dangerous weapon as secondary leader in a two-pronged attacks. Next year he'll hopefully have someone stronger than Cioban to ride along with.
Another positive surprise of the season was Taciak, who managed to get several good stage results while being a helper as well as stepping up and saving the race when CAS was far from his usual self in Burgos. I want to keep him and have him ride alongside Chris most of the next season.
Dabrowski and Colex were both good mountain helpers during the season and anything can really happen regarding their futures. Bernardo will have to take a big pay cut to stay with us though.
As for next year we want to slim the team a bit and focus on more local talent development. That means that Rasim Reis could very well be looking for a new team to help him become the flat beast he has the talent for while Khalifa and Blanco both have a very uncertain future as well.
On top of that we have both Lindau and several Finnish talents, who could be looking for a loanout to a team in higher divisions. For the details we refer to our talent-post.
Also Veikkanen have decided to most likely end his career as he is not getting any yonger. We thank him for his effort for Finnish cycling over the years and wish him the best of luck in the future - perhaps in our team car.

World Championships First of all it was a great honour for our team to have gotten a rider into every event raced except the U23 ITT representing three different nations.
Olli tried to get in the break early on in the B-Worlds Road Race, but the most symbolic picture from the race was the one with a bunch of our riders on the road.
In the Team Time Trial we were represented on the Polish team with Taciak and Renäng for Sweden.
Poland was less than impressive, but the Swedes rode a good race, especially the first half was impressive with a 6th place on one intermediate.
Viktor was one of the fastest before the really big names started the ITT and finished in a decent place. Most importanlt as fastest Swede, which bodes well for the NC.
The U23 RR was very quit from Lehtinen, who took part racing on a team of mixed nationalities.
He did finish as the best rider of the team on a route less than suiting to his qualities.
Too bad he didn't get in the break as they actually made it all the way in this one.
The Elite Worlds RR was an experience similar to the B-Worlds.
Westling was our biggest hope, but he crashed out of contention
B-Worlds Road Race 1 | Maximiliano Richeze | Argentina | 5h34'09 | 82 | Jussi Veikkanen | Finland | s.t. | 116 | Samuel Pökälä | Finland | s.t. | 137 | Olli Kulppi | Finland | s.t. | 149 | Paavo Paajanen | Finland | s.t. | 178 | Sami Tiainen | Finland | + 5'13 | 179 | Sakari Lehtinen | Finland | s.t. | 180 | Matti Manninen | Finland | s.t. |
Team Time Trial 1 | Netherlands | 50'56 | 13 | Sweden | + 1'02 | 23 | Poland | + 2'12 |
Individual Time Trial 1 | Taylor Phinney | USA | 52'17 | 23 | Viktor Renäng | Sweden | + 1'59 |
U23 Road Race 1 | Frederik Frison | Belgium | 5h39'14 | 54 | Sakari Lehtinen | Mixed Team A | s.t. |
Elite Road Race 1 | Matthew Goss | Australia | 5h29'15 | 150 | Linus Dahlberg | Sweden | s.t. | 167 | Mattias Westling | Sweden | + 2'52 |

Sami Tiainen took the Finnish road race title for us today while Samuel Pökäla will wear the blue cross in TT's.
Both results are close to perfect for us. Not that surprising perhaps since the race pretty much was ours to control.
We wanted both jerseys on our team next season without having to worry about stagnating rider growth by avoiding loan-outs while we also wanted to se our jersey on a rider with his arms in the air.
This was the perfect way to make that happen!
We are working on a champions jersey and will disclose it closer to the new season along with any jersey we might win in the remaining 4 NC's for us.

With half of our NC's raced it's time for a rundown of how things went by.
Mexican Championships
With half the Mexican peloton due to Azteka not signing up we had high hopes going into both races.
In the Road Race Bernardo got away along with Rangl, but it seems that Project: Africa have trained on this sort of races as they have had a reallt strong NC-run so far.
That and Rangel had by far the best kick of the two.
The TT was much more succesful as it was pretty much a duel between Colex and Sarabia, which was always to be won by Bernardo.
Road Race 1 | Héctor Hugo Rangel | Project: Africa | 1h55'27 | 2 | Bernardo Colex | Team Live Nation | + 27 |
Time Trial 1 | Bernardo Colex | Team Live Nation | 1h13'26 | 2 | Ignacio Sarabia | Team Live Nation | 49 | 3 | Luis Enrique Lemus Davila | Mobil - Aeropostal Ciclismo | 56 | 6 | Serafin José Blanco | Team Live Nation | + 2'52 |
Danish Championships
In the Danish road race Chris missed the early break, which was what we had told him to go after. Too bad since that meant Ebsen took it without any real contention. Even on a flat finish CAS could have had a good chance at the jersey from that break.
Obviously CAS was without any chance in the ITT.
Road Race 1 | John Kronborg Ebsen | Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank | 1h41'07 | 21 | Chris Anker Sørensen | Team Live Nation | + 1'39 |
Time Trial 1 | Lasse Bøchman | Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank | 1h11'13 | 20 | Chris Anker Sørensen | Team Live Nation | + 4'44 |

We are happy to announce that the license for next season is now officially secured. That means we can now really start looking ahead to the future that is DeLaval - Kiitokori.
It is no secret that we want to continue our engagement in Finnish cycling, but it's also no secret that our current Fins are not quite world-beaters yet.
Luckily DeLaval is a company with activities all over the world so they are happy to keep a very international feel to the rest of the team meaning that no one will get sacked purely based on nationality. That is not the same as everyone getting a new contract mind you.
With our Finnish focus it can hardly be a surprise or secret that we have one main target for the transfer season: Jukka Vastaranta.
He ended up getting massively overpaid last year and haven't performed to the level his salary demands in the PCT, so we are optimistic that we can find the budget for him after a bit of trimming of the team.
The new teams are also starting to announce the details for their projects and we would like to bid them all welcome. We will keep a close eye on your hopes and dreams and might get in touch if one of our riders seems a better fit for your project.
A special welcome goes to the new Argentinian team SanCor Cycling Team. With a dairy producer as main sponsor we already feel a deeper conection with the South American outfit, but welcome all other managers as well.

Hello fellow dairy team!
Congratulations on the license renewal, we look forward to meeting face to face in the heat of the race.
And perhaps the sponsors can get together once and talk business. You know, in a milk bar or something.
Cheese,

Now let's not get carried away with these full-fat jokes. We don't want to become cereal abusers of the medium.
I look forwards to seeing DeLaval moo-ve up the table this season. Hopefully you can cow-erce the market on Dairy related riders. I wish you s-moo-thie sailing.... yep i might have gone to far on that last one

Alpina is a dairy company too, so that makes three of us
I do like the new jersey, especially how you're managing to retain the bovine feel for the NCs; nice work!

A different approach to the NCs, maybe a little hard to differentiate between them but you can guess your way through each one (different is good btw! Its nice that you are keeping them very close to the original jersey)

Cool. We'll end up with a regular milk-mafia
I wanted to keep the NC's close to the original jersey to make them more recognizable. The shorts are the same base colour as the front/bottom spots, whoch makes them a bit more distinct. Hungary and MExico will always look a bit similar due to having almost the same flag colours. Mexico has the eagle-emblem big on the back though (and will only be used in TT's) so I don't think it will be too big a problem.
I try to think NC-ideas in when I make a jersey in the first place and I'm quite satisfied with how they have worked out on paper so far. Happy that you agree as well

Well it's not leather so in that way I suppose it is cow-friendly ;
Polish Championships
On Poland we had hoped to se Taciak in the break considering his solid finishing abilities shown this season.
He did not get in the break in teh road race but got us a solid 3rd in the TT.
Turkish Championships
In Turkey we mainly had hopes for Gökhan Hasta to defend his jersey.
In the end Reis was the one that got closest, even though he had to see himself beaten in the finale by Carsi.
UAE Championships
In the United Arab Emirates we were up for a head-to-head between Banihammed and Essa Khalifa.
In the TT there was never any competition, but I suppose a 2nd place is nice as well…
For the road race it was the exact oppostite situation as Essa got in teh early break almost even winning the race, but at least taking his NC-jersey.
Moldavian Championships
Our final race of the yar was the Moldovian championships where Cioban had the chance to redeem himself after a highly disappointing season.
He continued the style in teh road race, but lived up to expectations in the TT granting us our 5th country.
