It was scary how easily Lotto took over from Sky and delivered Greipel to the line. Never looked in doubt. Demare rode really well to get through such a tight gap to pinch 2nd as well.

Lotto's timing is absolutely spot on. Seems they've been working a lot on their train. We could already see it last year.

So glad that Greipel won, such an easy guy to like. I hope that Lotto keep this up all season.

2 things I've learned today. 1 is that Griepel loves Australia.

2 is that waking at 4am is not the best decision. Thankfully I am European Pfft

Griepel was impressive there. Great leadout too. It's nice to see Demare up there also, hopefully he'll have some TDF form this year, would love a French Green Jersey winner.

Good joke. Wink

Nice result for Demare. Hoping he can take a win later on.

I really have high expectations about Demare's future, he can be a world clas sprinter like a Cav in a few years I think

Just watched the re-run and i have to say Greipel was just awesome the way he opened up that sprint finish Smile

Just watched the sprint, and I don't know who did a better job for Greipel, his leadout of Von Hoff. Pfft

LOTTO were brilliant on the lead out, that is ominous for the rest of the season Wink

Lotto <-> Quickstep
Greipel <-> Cavendish

We're in for a real treat this season!

And the third (you know who), will smile in green. Pfft
These two are too much relying on their lead-outs to my liking, but they are certainly the fastest on few hundred metres, but not the most complete sprinters.
I'll be back

Cav and OPQS will do better (I think/hope Pfft )

Here is a video about the WC Gilbert how he won the 3rd sprint.

Winners never quit, quitters never win.

It's difficult not to be happy when you're surrounded by Belgians. - Mark Cavendish

I expect only those two in the ultimate sprint battles, but Sagan is much more complete and I expect him everywhere else, classics, harder sprints... Wink

Wow, the gap between Greipel and the rest was huge.

Anyone know who the obscure rider is they celebrate this year in the Tour Down Under?

Easy and expected for Greipel Pfft

I didn't catch the nice little move from Demare to get second, tidy.
