I still want to see a simple adjustment in the general rankings in how much a rider has dropped in the ranking table since the last stage after finishing a stage. |

I'm pretty sure this thread is closed...
Anyway, for any future improvements, I would like to see 50% of points being carried when a rider signs for a new team (because it is more realistic), and the ability to be able to start a WorldTour custom team without having to edit your save |

No idea how much the "disastrous" initial reception of the beta-less PCM12 has influenced this, but Cyanide is looking for people to try some of the new features of PCM13 in a closed beta

From the 17th to the 31st december 2012, we will organize a Closed Beta for the next edition of Pro Cycling Manager.
The selected players will be the first one to try some new features dedicated to the Career Mode and the races!
We are looking for serious people who have a good knowledge of Pro Cycling Manager. An access to a dedicated forum and a report tool will be given to them.

Has there been any announcements rearding PCM13? If not, at what point do you think we can expect to see them?
I don't remember when the first news of PCM12 started appearing.

I sent Cyanide an email few days ago about the palmares issues in PCM 12 and got this response they forwarded the issue and that PCM13 is still under development.
Good to hear they are actually working on the game, we didn't her much so far
Aside from jokes, there should be some info about the game soon hopefully.

I know it's a little late now, but oh well...
I would like to see at least one development team come with the standard DB. This is so they have a reason to make teams U23/U25 specific. i.e. those teams only take one riders that are in that category, meaning that development teams don't take on 33 year old riders...
Also, anyone get onto that closed beta? What can you tell us?

I don't know if this suggestion has already been made, but who knows, maybe somone sees it.
I found rather uncomfortable that the Rankings don't matter at all. Maybe it will be useful if the sponsor will put some demands according to the investment. For example, a team like BMC or Sky will receive a demand to finish in TOP 3.
Your sponsor could reward you if you come 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the rankings or punish you if you finish below 10th (not paying you for the last month of the year).
Because the rankings are meaningless for the moment. |

What news do you expect? We will hear that both in-race AI and managerial part are very well upgraded and mastered for the new edition and we will have to wait again if they lied like every year, or they actually improved something.

Nah, it's usually true that they improve some things. The problem is that what they don't say is that they fuck up others, and usually things that worked just fine in previous versions.

Im hoping they change something about national teams, making it so that u can take another 1 then own nation or nation from sponsor/team.
Also hoping for realistic transfers, making it possible like irl , for example buying out a cyclist who still is under contract, so u dont have to go and edit the db, and more realistic goals or making it available to pick own goals |

Because the rankings are meaningless for the moment. I doubt that sponsors pay rewards in real life. Sponsoring contracts are legal contracts, so you cannot "punish" somebody. Of course it would be possible to include bonus payments and contractual penalties but team manager would sign such contracts. What should he do if his best rider broke his leg in the most important race? Rob a bank to pay the salaries?

Yea, you are right, but it is frustrating to know that the rankings are meaningless (except for the last 2 places). |

The "desired country" may change during a career?
Let's say, I choose Argos and German as nationality to make Degenkolb WC.
Now I sign Valverde and want to win the WC with him.

You are allowed, but you must pay compensation to the team he is leaving. This compensation is set by the team losing a rider. Usually teams just set this well above what the rider is worth so no-one makes an attempt. But it means those well funded teams can sign contracted riders
examples: Sky getting Wiggins from Garmin and OPQ getting Cavendish from Sky.
It happens but only really for big riders and big teams.

OK, so how about this: Your sponsor will allow you to buy a rider from another team if you are top 3 of the ranking. This would make LLDS and Roozeken happy.
BTW: You are way to late for suggestions for PCM13. But maybe Cyanide will see and remember these and implement them in PCM14, 15 or 16... |
