I'm going to bump this one and I think there's other threads for it too - but the signatures are getting pretty out of control again. |

In the sense of story banners? Maybe most of the guys you mean don't feel addressed if you don't specify.

You can always just give links in text, like Kentaurus used to do, instead of using one banner for everything. Also fastens the loading time of the pages.

To be honest, I think all of the three signatures above (and TMS) are way too big.
It should be limited to two or three lines of text tops.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

My sig used to be small, but then Exxon died and I won the American Champs. I was going to move Exxon to the third line, but then I though that would be direspectful to Wouter and Tondo.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

At the end of the day, its not as if you knew them, plus people do have to move on at some point.
Whats erasing a bit of text saying "RIP" to a few former cyclists going to do in the big picture. You can still remember them.

Like cactus-jack I find all your signatures to big, except cio93, pcm2009fan, lluuiiggii.
baseballlover312: How about removing the lance and contador quote, or not writing in bold?

Those are my trademarks, I can't lose them. I moved the exxon line to the third a and cut the fifth.
And Valverde, in terms of length, isn't yours actually longer? Not that I mind seeing Ryder as champion every time you post.

I was going to say that also, but I don't want to start anything..

I'm regularly deleting people's signatures, because they are too large for my liking.
I've been close to deleting Manx' a few times, because it's right on the limit for what's reasonable.
In general - if your posts are shorter than your signature, you should consider either writing longer posts or, better yet, minimize your signatures.
However, I'm not really a fan of rules, but it's definitely worth considering if people will continue to have annoying signatures. |

Thank god i've now shortened it...
But i do like the point of making posts longer (stop with all the pointless +1 type things that don't contribute to a conversation, story etc.)

A reason to argue for a like or +1 button on posts, that was brought up a few months back.
