6 races in total on the PCT January schedule even though the C2 events were rarely visited as usual and surely weren`t the big point scoring events neither.
The biggest points were collected in hte C1 Tour Down Under as also in HC Down Under Classic and PTHC Tour of East Java followed by C1 Clasique Pico Basile.
Let`s start from highest division to lowest. The Tour of East Java was a great 2-day fight against the PT teams and not a lot of times this is happened but sometimes the PCT division takes home the win. Same here in Indonesia with Colombian allrounder Beltran taking a huge win for his new team Swisslion. Daniel Martin for Campari, Amador (UBS) and Tenorio (Desigual) also with decent scoring here. Last surely had hoped for a bit more though.
The Down Under Classic then was for the sprinters and released and newly signed Guarnieri continued where he ended in the 2nd season half of 2018. He won for Delvaux and delivered them a great start to the season beating no less than Degenkolb, Avelino, Saber, Ciolek.
The Tour Down Under saw yet another shock. The 2nd year in a row the CT teams take the GC. Still some teams with great scoring here starting with the 2018 winners Valio around Gautier, who couldn`t repeat his GC win. Also Degenkolb for Iberia with good scoring just like Duolingo with an improved Borges and also Guarnieri for Delvaux.
The Clasique Pico Basile saw Tenorio finding his climbing legs and after a decent but not ideal East Java, he showed his strength here taking the much needed win after some bad luck for Desigual earlier. Dan Martin with another good showing as also Uran, Choi being well placed.
Last but not least the C2 events. Just small scoring here. Atapuma for Europcar in Tachira but just 14 points in total in a 10 day event was not ideal. 17 points for Popo4ever in San Cristobal surely a bit better while Berg reached 5 points there.
In total Swisslion comes out strongest after January due to Beltran`s win mainly. Delvaux with a strong Guarnieri follow ahead of Campari and Iberia. Very close from 2-4 at the moment. Right now the CT promoted teams look absolutely in great form while the PT relegated still have to find their rhytm it seems. Duolingo as 6th the be4st placed of those.
Further at the bottom Sauber the only team without any points yet. So far only the Down Under Classic in their schedule though. Carlsberg and Popo4ever also with a slow start into the year while the gaps to the next though are small and 1 race only can swap a lot that early in the season.

Individually Eduard Alexander Beltran leads the division with the East Java win while the following two are sprinters, who did well in both Australian events and have used a lot more race days in direct comparison. Surely some top bets for the individual crown as well in the end. First in especially interesting as he might score in so many different terrains.
Tenorio/Martin share the next spot then and might be the best stage racers this season that challenge Pluchkin, who hasn`t started his non wildcard season yet. Amador, Uran surely in the mix though as well.
Gautier still best puncheur for now while Borges is close and others are yet to start fully.

Not the season opener I wanted, two zero-pointers in a row, but the team did well in the latter two races. Hoping we only go upwards now.
Thanks for the update.

Only two races in, but clearly not where we want to be. Not impressed by PCM18 so far, let's see what next month gives us.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Very good start for us, too early to say anything at all, just happy with a good beginning.

Off to a solid start. Dropping from 5th certainly feels better than dropping from 20th...

I'm probably gonna have to frame these rankings as it's just a matter of time before we start tumbling down the order
February is a huge month for my team and probably for quite a few others, so I expect a clearer picture in the next ranking update

16th so far, I'll say good as we have not raced a single stage-race yet, also Kip in 20th on the individual standings? Suck on that haters

I don't even know where I got seven points in Java, but that's cool I guess.
It's about the start the season I expected. I'm worried of course since I was worried coming in, but I'm not any more worried now. We've only had two races - a classic and a two day stage race, both with high competition fields and in unfavorable terrains. Not much to gather yet. The second ranking after some classics will be more indicative of how bad we are.

Delvaux and Valio in the promotion spots? Can we stop the season already?
Swisslion up top is also very cool to see.

Only 2 races so far, with the random as hell DUC and C2 stuff, nothing where we expected any solid points, so no shocker...

8th is way better than we could hope for, but then I guess we've also used the most race days, so expect us to fall quite a few races in the next ranking |

Pretty good start to the season, with Down Under Classic being the obvious highlight Hopefully we can continue in the same vein going forward.
Cool to see four newly promoted teams in the top 5!

Thanks for the update roturn. I'm very pleased to be sitting where we are in 11th, having only used 4 race days at this point.

Big sack of meh from us here. But since that sack of meh got us to 13th, I'm looking forward to how we go when I'm not so thoroughly whelmed
Really enjoying that top three!

Obviously wanted more from the Desigual boys (especially Yates in TdU), but sitting seventh isn't the end of the world. Lots of racing to come in February.
Thanks for the update.

Cool to see Swisslion at the top.
A nice start for us too with 6th and only two races. A good omen for the rest of the season.
Thanks for the update roturn!
