 Tour of the Battenkill
Welcome to the fifth edition of the Tour of the Battenkill, it's a tough race today with both cobbled and non-cobbled hills for our competitors to tackle. it looks like defending champion  Summerhill's for the losing - a tough cobbled race, in America! But there'll be a whole host of other riders looking to stop him, another former winner here is  Baugnies, who's had an intense rivalry with the American this season. At a little over 204km long it'll bring out the best in some and the worst in others - an endurance test for sure.

Thanks for the preview and upcoming race coverage. No worries about length, sometimes the shorter the sweeter  Looking forwarde to another fine cobble feast. We have a goal here, so Top 5 it has to be, but with the way the rankings look, we actually really need to score big here to keep in the lead. Baugnies to go big or bust!

Thanks for covering the race, jandal!
Oscar Gatto was 15th last year and it seems reasonable to expect quite the same this season.
Guess Summerhill and Baugnies will make the one, two again. Though the Wallonian returns with stronger support this time around and may steal the victory.

You just can't go wrong with Strava this season now can you? Massive win, but what a shit performance from Summerhill. He is putting his team in serious trouble with performances like this. Summerhill in the CT? Nah, that can't happen, can it?

OMG a classic win, so great, and so close... thanks a ton Jandal, great report too, loved the vivid writing!
Top performance by Baugnies although the team was weaker than I had hoped for initially, so the points are mostly brought in by my two main men but when you win this are cosmetics.
Not only bad result for Kent but also Ollfardh who needs those points too urgently. However bit of a consolation.price for some other teams who have hoped for more in previous races.

Wow, an amazing performance by Cancellara here. If we keep performing like this we might actually make our pre-season goal of top 10 in the standings, which I didn't expect really at any point after transfer season.

Great report jandal, really enjoyable.
What a way for Teunissen to get that 2nd place  Another 2nd place in a cobbled classic that really didn't suit him, after Kigali GP's, that was just absurd as this one.
Couldn't be happier about the results really, would have felt quite guilty had he won after a race were both the top favourites attacked. 98 points is a lot, but I guess that goes to make up for a few disappointing races!
Strava gets - once again - a ludicrous amount of points out of the race, 182 if I'm counting correctly, which is really incredible. Congrats Shonak! Nice work to Eritel as well which gets more than 100 points somehow 
Really sad to see the race going the wrong way for both Kent and Ollfardh that could have used the points from a podium place, but Heine too who I'm sure will find a way to keep fighting for the first place, even though Strava doesn't look like they are ready to give up on their first place with still a few cobbled classics to go! What a fantastic team!

Indeed, great race for the Blue and Orange!
Shades of 2014 for Lagab, with Debesay now involved and joining in - with a super aggressive race. And even a 20th for last minute signing Bikienga.
