Don't know if this has been mentioned, yet.
According to tuttobiciweb, RCS is in talks about the 2017 Giro d'Italia start in Japan! According to the above link, it would include 4 stages, including a finish on Mount Fuji! |

That would be interesting for sure, I don't know how much the riders would want that with the following flight though.

Ah the classic "How far away can we start a GT" question. ASO will be the first ones to leave Europe i'm sure of that but it's not going to be before 2020 i predict.

I'm one of these people that think GT's should only be able to go into bordering countries (with the exception of the English Channel) as it starts to get ridiculous where these tours could actually start.
I understand why it's done for marketing reasons but I'm not a big fan of the globalization of the sport, as for me Europe is where cycling belongs, even though it's still healthy to hold early and late season races outside of Europe. |

Sure, that's the Tour of Italy. In Japan.
Actually these borders are so stale and ancient.
Tour of China could perfectly be run through Africa, since they have unofficially bought the place anyway
Tour of Belgium could go through Congo (although not anymore)
Tour of America through Iraq.
Tour of Russia... Well. You know.
Still, tour of Italy through Japan makes little sense to me.
Not trying to offend anyone. Just the politics.
Else, dismiss this message |

This is the cycling sub-forum. Nothing to do with PCM or PCM.Daily database.
Also, the database team works voluntary. There's no need or you've no right to rush them. |

at least don´t lie to people be sincer, people love the job that the team does but i feel sad because in older editions this never hapend, and for the first time ever i have bought the game and haven´t played yet because some one said that the 1.7 db will be released 2 /3 weeks. but that was 2 months ago. |

2017 Giro is 100th Giro, so they're going to start in Italy whatever any rumours say Hoping for a crackerjack of a course with mountains aplenty to entice all the big riders to a momentous event - I'm already excited at the prospect even though we will have to wait another whole year to find out!
