The Rider
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2015/profiles/c2hc/uspc.png

Here we are. Welcome to, perhaps, the top CT stage race on the calendar. A packed startlist with many of the top GC riders in the division attests to the importance of this race. Those who sent big guns here will hope that another breakaway win won't take all the glory as it did last season. A hard route, with a very difficult looking summit finish on stage 7, not forgetting plenty of climbing on stage 2, should see the best battle it out for the GC win.

For the GC:

MountainHillTT
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/dek.png Winner Anacona797466
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ino.png Gian Piero Signorini786965
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ino.png Darwin Atapuma787362
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/bbk.png Richard Ochoa Quintero777366
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/cpl.png Abolfazl Gilanipoor777168
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/chi.png Yasmani Martinez767273
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ioc.png Jakub Novak767376
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/gat.png Tyler Brandt766973
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ice.png Yoann Bagot767365
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/tt1.png Thomas Peterson756873
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/gen.png Edoardo Girardi756771
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/nns.png Karol Andrzej Domagalski757174
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/sod.png Nabil Baz757162
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/cdb.png Thomas Koep757372

You know the names by now, if not where the hell have you been! The above look the most likely to challenge for the GC. Taking into account that hilly TT on stage 4, which looks a hard one, with big gaps to be had there, you could argue that favourites for this race will be the likes of pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ioc.png Novak and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/chi.png Martinez, who are both good against the clock. Though any differences there could be more than nullified on that stage 7 finish.

The above list certainly does not contain all the riders whom could feature in a GC battle here. Also present include: pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/dek.png Sørensen, who has been one of the more consistent GC riders this season, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/cpl.png Dyachenko, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ino.png Nieve, an armada of decent climbers from pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/san.png Sancor Cycling Team and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/chi.png Haga, who had a phenomenal Tour of America last season on home roads, and is on great form from Slovenia. Not to forget pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/fxg.png Roe, who has finished multiple stage races well in the top 10 this season.

For the sprints:

SprintAcceleration
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ioc.png Blaise Sonnery7873
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ino.png Aidis Kruopis7877
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/gat.png Ben King7873
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/san.png Rafael Andriato7876
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/fxg.png Allan Davis7774
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/aks.png Khayabkhyrvaa Uugunbayar7775
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/cpl.png Ruslan Tleubayev7777
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/cdb.png Kim Marius Nielsen7778
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/nns.png Pawel Franczak7676
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/tt1.png Martijn Verschoor7675
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ice.png Bruno Lima7680

With three stages, perhaps, for the sprinters, there could be good points to be had for those who sent the quick-men here. No top level sprinters, with regards to speed, are here but all of the fastest here can cope with the undulating terrain.

Elsewhere we see pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/sva.png Tennant and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/gat.png Aramendía, both will be solely focused on the TT. Then we have a host of teams looking to score big from breaks making it to the finish.

Will the racing live up to such hype?

Time for Winner to live up to his name. He'll probably end up screwing up and then CAS gets away in a break after losing loads of time in the ITT and then finish 2nd in the GC.

Should've bought Sobota. Pfft anyway, Domagalski might be able to do something in the mountains, or Frankzac in the sprints, maybe Mazur in the TT, or a breakaway somewhere, or Sinkewitz for stage 5, not expecting much here, but there is a lot of potential for something to happen Wink

Thanks for the preview. Smile

Expectations are low, but we really need something, so I hope my guys will attack like crazy.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Strong startlist, but we have a strong team here as well. Go Martinez/Haga!

Awesome. Can't wait for this to start.
We came here with Andriato for fun but the real work will have to be done by Rodas, Moyano, Moreno and Barredo!

Looking over the start list, I think we'll be aiming for a stage win and perhaps a jersey. GC will be too difficult. Except if Rodas wants to come out and play Wink

Good luck everyone, but not too much luck, Grin

Huh? Why are we present in America? Pfft
I guess this has to be in one of the C2HC bands, let's see how Gilanipoor can do here.

Thank you for the preview!

Hoping for a breakaway win. That's about it.

Got a lot banking on a decent result here. 2 in the top 10 and a stage win are what I'm looking for. Time for the team to step it up.

Thanks Rider for the preview.

Took a crap team here, first one for stagiare Davide Martinelli and definetely some xps for Sterbini as well.

Girardi only hope for top 10 but looking forward to next race already... Gonna be a pain in the ass to read the reports but thanks anyway TR for taking this!

Koep can actually make a top10 here. Not expecting it but definitely hope for some good form here.

baseballlover312
If Koep doesn't get Top 15 and Nielsen doesn't try in a sprint, I'm gonna be really, really, really pissed...

Shame my team couldn't be here this year after the massive success we had last season. This race is easily one of my favourites on the calendar, and I will follow it closely again Smile

We have a great opportunity to get a stage in here. Let's hope Davis and Roe hav a good week of racing

Kicking myself for not brining Sobots. Frown

Despite that, I'm happy with 6th from Pierzga. Smile As I don't have any expectations. Pfft

Thanks for the report, the rider. Smile

Nothing to comment, first stage is not really something fitting any of my riders' stats...

Good to see no one attacked, even though it was pretty boring to watch, but then again my riders have everything to lose.

Thanks for that TR Wink

It would have been great for Elta to race this, but it will be interesting to watch even without taking part Smile Impressive leadout train from Gatorade, it's a deserved win for Ben King Wink

Good work by Stuyven, let's hope he'll go again and claim the KoM.

Always nice to see the home team grab a win, certainly a deserved one, too. I can't remember if we were here last year, but I do know that it's the race with the most terrible AI in pcm - could certainly end up with a flukey winner.
