The Great Ocean Road Classic ends the January. The Australian sprint classic goes into its 3rd edition and while the first ended in a sprint finish of the very best sprinters, the 2014 CT edition was rather a disappointment with a breakaway win.
As C2HC race the division`s best sprinters are here and surely hope for a sprint decision in 2015.
Let`s take it short and have a view over the top favourites:
| Flat | Sprint | Acceleration | Meyer | 72 | 80 | 76 | Richeze | 73 | 80 | 79 | Matthews | 75 | 79 | 79 | Peeters | 72 | 79 | 77 | Corioni | 73 | 79 | 75 | Vanderaerden | 72 | 79 | 75 | Westling | 70 | 78 | 74 | King | 75 | 78 | 73 | Moser | 70 | 78 | 77 | Abdallah | 68 | 78 | 76 | Pelucchi | 74 | 78 | 77 | Andriato | 71 | 78 | 76 | Park | 70 | 78 | 77 | Sobota | 72 | 78 | 78 | Jørgensen | 73 | 78 | 73 | Uugunbayar | 70 | 77 | 75 | Rasmussen | 72 | 77 | 79 | Nielsen | 68 | 77 | 78 | Sutton | 73 | 77 | 77 | Tleubayev | 72 | 77 | 77 | Nateghi | 68 | 77 | 75 | Giacoppo | 70 | 77 | 75 | Kuboki | 73 | 76 | 77 | Tolleson | 76 | 76 | 75 | Dahlberg | 71 | 76 | 75 | Carsi | 67 | 76 | 78 | Belletti | 70 | 76 | 77 | Franczak | 72 | 76 | 76 | Haedo | 70 | 76 | 76 | Tolosa | 71 | 76 | 77 | Thire | 71 | 76 | 77 | Ratto | 79 | 75 | 73 |
Strongest sprinter might be B World Champion Maximiliano Richeze. Aussie Cameron Meyer might have the speed but is a bit behind him. Also Michael Matthews surely a high bet for the win here. He might be Australia`s best sprinter here as he is more complete than Meyer even though lacking his top speed.
Then the next list of riders is really similar. Standing out a bit might be Ben King, Taylor Tolleson
and even more Daniele Ratto. Those three might not be the fastest but they have a great engine on the flat and could like those kind of races.
Report might come tomorrow or Saturday |

Yes, yes, yes! So ready for this one!
Bringing Richeze and the best possible lead-out I can provide for him. Looking at the favorites list, I see 3 of them there, too. So I hope all goes well and we can maybe pack up our first victory of the season!
Top 3 would be sufficiant for Richeze's season start, though. But you can't aim high enough, right?! |

Was really waiting for this thread, our first race of the season. Hopefully Dabkowski-Pelucchi-Peeters can do something here!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Interesting preview with Tolleson mentioned as a possible threat here. Really hoping for a bunch sprint taking it. A few strong sprinters would deserve to battle for line honours..
As always, i'm hoping for either Matthews or Meyer to take it. Giacoppo should not be much of a threat in this field. Will follow his performance closely though.

Three of my former riders here, two of them even leading their teams. I hope that Matthews can take the victory here. He failed big time here last year, hopefully he can do better this year.

Slightly worried that the game appears to have set Dahlberg as my leader here. Too lumpy for Westling I guess

This....is.....vital!
We really need a good result here after a miserable C1-race earlier this month.
I think we're in a good position to do well here, but no doubt we need to watch Sancor and make it hard for them.
Richeze and Matthews are quite similar in strength or at least Matthews is not far behind, and best leadout men Andriato and Park are almost identical. I think those to sprint trains will be the strongest ones in the end, because both teams have a lot of backup. Of course Meyer is always a threat as well.
Peeters/Pelucchi combination should not be underestimated either.
Will be a very exciting race to follow, unless the breakaway steals it again |

Only real shame of missing Band 4 is this race. I think it will be a close game between Richeze and Matthews.

For some reason, I omitted Haddou from my line up and will have to hope Thire can do a good job instead

Hoping for a top 5 but I know it won't happen
Matthews is going to be the favourite imo. I just have that feeling he's going to take it.
Hopefully Ratto&Moser will prove me wrong and do something unexpected tho
Spoiler It's always great to look and see Ratto's flat stat

Have been waiting for this for a while! Early season race with a B grade team, top 15 would be nice, but that favourite's list is long! Thinking Richeze will miss out, but not sure who'll win.

hopefully Abdallah can pull through with a good finish without his low flat stat being too much of a problem |

You know what... Haddou has been brought here any reason why he isn't classed as a favourite, Roturn?

Are the list of favourites you own opinion or as per the game's selection pre-race?
