29/10/2014 - Milan, Italy
"I have a dream." • Martin Luther King Jr.
And on that day, a new adventure began. Sponsors from all over the world, from Italy to Central Africa, Luxembourg to the Pacific, America to Britain, shook hands and confirmed a plan long in the making. Some may call it an oddity. Me? I consider it a masterpiece in the making. A youthful team combining some of the most unlikely countries to ever team up. Cunego, Goss, Bewley, Phinney, Schleck, Swift, even Amadou Bakari. You know their names. They are superstars of their countries. Over the next few years, we are going to develop some of those countries' future superstars. Build, don't buy. That's our mantra, that's our game, that's our plan. After much to-ing and fro-ing with the MGUCI we finally have received our CT license, and with good reason. On Friday, I have to tell the world why.
I can, of course, reveal our three major sponsors for the season, who will be the main drivers of our direction for the next few seasons. When our HQ is properly edited over the course of this week (I'm no tech whizz) and started to be updated by someone who know what they're doing, I'm sure this will be much tidier.
Maserati is an Italian car manufacturer and our main title sponsor. Have not made any formal requests yet, but expect a good few Italians in our ranks.
Bank of Central African States have opened up a seemingly endless pool of talent. Our secondary title sponsor and viewpoint into Central Africa, the BEAC have only yet made a single request: Bakari.
Air New Zealand have jumped on board due partly to the rising popularity of cycling in New Zealand courtesy of Sam Bewley and Jesse Sergent, Air New Zealand, and, by that reason, the New Zealand government, have felt the time is right to aid this attempt in major fashion, in the hope of starting a successful Pacific team once and for all, after many failed attempts. They also want to promote cycling in the Pacific Islands, so get ready for some Polynesian additions to the CT! No requests yet, but a good number of Kiwi and Polynesian riders seems very likely
Billabong are one of the 'big three' Australian clothing companies, and one of our 'big five' sponsors for the season. After the rapid growth of Australian cycling became apparent over the last few years; notably this year when Matt Goss completed a U-23/Elite Road race WC title and The Oz Cycling Project secured promotion to the PT, Billabong hopped aboard the latest (part) Oceanic venture. They are expecting a few Aussie youngsters among our ranks.
Cegedel complete our five main sponsors, and bring a small focus on the BeNeLux and France. Only expecting a few riders in our ranks this year, but with the talent in that area we are sure we can find some very capable youngsters to represent them.
Subway, the American-based fast food company who have previously invested so much in New Zealand amateur cycling, have made the move up to the professional ranks.
Xero, the upstart New Zealand company who writes programe for small accounting businesses that has gone boom over the last few years and expanded to the USA and Britain, have put some of their extensive money in our team this year.
Tui, a Kiwi beer company, have put some money into us, and may be providing celebrational beverages after big wins.
Orica, an Australian mining company, have always been interested in developing cycling in Australia and saw us as their first opportunity to get involved.
Société Nationale Petrolière Gabonaise are the main oil company in Gabon, and a minor sponsor for us heading into our first season.
Saeco are an Italian company who make espresso machines, which could come in handy over the off-season.
Royal Dutch Shell are a fuel company who will be our third BeNeLux-based sponsor, and now we have one from each!

I like how you include mangame-levend Bakari in your plans. I hope that we some day will see Bakari and Bos on the same team, so you should hunt for him aswell ;-)

Interesting mix of sponsorship countries, good luck with that and good luck with Bakari if you will be after him. We will probably meet each other on the market because of some italian riders, as it is our side focus too.

Good Luck with this, African, Oceanic and European together should be interesting, but I think it will work out well, still, you'll have an interesting transfer season, I'm interested to see who gets signed.

Secondary Sponsors Announced!
We can exclusively confirm the newest sponsors for our team, and thus complete what has been self-dubbed the 'big five.
Cegedel complete our five main sponsors, and bring a small focus on the BeNeLux and France. Only expecting a few riders in our ranks this year, but with the talent in that area we are sure we can find some very capable youngsters to represent them.
@Heine - Thanks a lot, he's first on my list, the Central African sponsor, the free agency, it all fits in. I'll consider Bos some other time
@Avin - Thanks for the warm welcome, and I look forward to doing business with you
@trek - It really should be fun to see how I go, and it does look like an interesting mix of riders to come, I really don't have a clue if it will be a great transfer season or completely pear-shaped |

Minor Sponsors Confirmed!
We can now reveal the last of the companies that have agreed to fund us for 2015. They only add to an extensive list of nations that are being represented, but that's all part of the plan!
Rocky - Nah we signed at the bottom with Ford! Though driving round in Maseratis would be sweet
trekbmc - Well tell me a top Gabonese bike supplier and they can be a supplier
