And here my recap of the 2014 season:
Spoiler - Froome and Contador will both win a GT this year. 1/2 at least
- Sky will still not win the big classics. true
- Kwiatowski, Stybar, Vanmarcke have big seasons with at least one big win each they all had good seasons, but only Kwiatkowski with a big win
- Porte will disappoint a lot of DNF and only top20 in Down Under and Andalucia is disappointing
- Sagan will win one monument and 15+ wins easily this season not his season...~6 wins and no monument
- Kittel though takes the normal sprint stages in the big races against Greipel/Cavendish/Sagan weren`t too many direct duels, but he won quite a few of them
- Gilbert will be stronger taking 1 Ardennes Classic Amstel Gold Race bingo
- BMC will hugely fail this year but TvG will take California at least Wink actually they weren`t too bad plus TVG did not win California, so pretty wrong |

- Cavendish continue to weaken and not take a single Tour de France stage.
- Tim Wellens to podium a TDF stage, but not win.
- Same Tim Wellens rides top 10 in one or more of the Ardennes Classics.
- Boonen with his final monument victory.
- Kwiatkowski with a one-week stage race victory, but not a single classic.
- Quintana wins the Tour, Froome DNF again.
- Vanmarcke to win Ronde Van Vlaanderen
- Wiggins to set the hour-record very sharp.
- Tony Martin to regain his WC title in time trialing.
- Sagan to underachieve all through the season, however still taking the Maillot Vert in the TDF and podium the WC.
- Bakelants will do great in his AG2R shirt. The team continues to impress, too.
Wow, my predictions from last year were pretty bad:
-Gilbert back to his strength (obviously not like 2011, but better than 2012 and 2013), Okay, this was sort of true, though.
- Van Den Broeck reinvented and stronger than ever, maybe podium. Oh dear, no...
- Boonen to break a few records. I guess he holds record at Kuurne, now? But other than that...

Contador will win the Tour
Majka will finish on the podium on the Giro, maybe even challenging Nibali
Stybar shows himself as a great northern classics specialist, finishing on the podium in PR and top 5 on RvV
Greg van Avarmaet will finish on the podium on the RvV and PR, but won't win neither
Cancellara wins the RvV, but doesn't win Paris-Roubaix
Paris-Roubaix is once again won by an outsider
Kwiatkowski wins one of the Ardennes
Froome disappoints
Sky disappoint
The saga of doping continues, with more Astana riders having more positives, and the Gazzeta list making all heaven rains on earth, and turning into Operacion Puerto v2. Just, not with the same ending
Martin wins LBL
Kittel dominates sprints
Rui Costa finishes top 10 on the Tour, wins (again) the Tour of Suisse, and one or two one day classics
World Champioships are won by an outsider
Quick recap of my 2014:
Spoiler - Rui Costa won't finish in the Tour top 10, but will win a couple of one week races and one of the Ardennes - Eated the first parst. Sadly, he didn't win an Ardenne Classic
- Stybar will win RvV - Nope.
- Vanmarcke will defeat on the sprint both Cancellara and Boonen to win Paris Roubaix - Not even close.
- Froome will win (again) the Tour by 5 minutes+ - Didn't happen. Instead, if we replace Froome with Nibali, it's spot on.
- Nibali will finish 2nd - Nope, 1st.
- Porte will win the Giro by 5+ minutes as well, and he will still help Froome like nothing happened - Wrong here, definetelly.
- Gilbert won't do anything (again) - Nope, if you count winning Amstel.
- Valverde won't finish on the podium in the Tour, but he will finish 2nd in the Vuelta - Almost spot on. Just 3rd, instead of 2nd.
- Purito will win the Vuelta and the WC - Sadly, no.
- Contador will fail hard and Kreuziger will be leader, to fail hard as well - Way to far.
- Majka takes over at SaxoBank as the supreme leader of the team after finish 3rd at the Giro - Can I amek this one one of my 2015 ones? |

-The TDU will be a surprise winner, Serry is my guess
-Barguil will have a surprise season, podiuming in the Dauphiné and top-5 in the Tour.
-Bardet or Pinot podiums the Tour, the other isn't in the top-10
-Boonen will have a better year than last year, but he won't win a monument.
-Vanmarcke will win a monument.
-The Ardennes classics will have 3 different winners, none of them being Kwiatkowski or Gilbert.
-Gesink will have a strong year, riding top-10 in the tour and top-5 in at least one of the Ardennes classics.
-San Remo will once again be a mass sprint, Degenkolb wins it.
-Sagan gets annoyed at and by Tinkov and has a terrible season.
-Lombardia will be won by a surprise, possibly Wellens.
-Froome once again doesn't win the Tour.
-Contador podiums both Giro and Tour, but wins neither.
-Quintana wins the Tour with a big margin.
-The Giro will go to Aru.
-Pozzovivo to podium the Vuelta.
-Valverde to win the Vuelta
-Kruijswijk will be back at his 2011 level, riding top-10 in the Giro.
-Betancur to have a disappointing season, with one world tour stage win.
-Van Avermaet surprises everyone at the worlds.
-Degenkolb wins his first stage in the Tour, and take green
-Kittel will win more than 3 stages in the Tour.
-Kelderman will ride top-10 in the Tour, but not top-5.
-Stannard will win one cobbled race, but not a monument.
-Movistar wins the team rankings.
My guess is about 10% of these predictions will actually turn out to be correct.

- Evans out of the podium in the TDU
- Cancellara will podium at Sanremo, Sagan will win it
- Kristoff's season will disappoint
- Again another duel between them at Harelbeke and Wevelgem, but Sagan will take Harelbeke and another rider among Degenkolb and Demare will take Wevelgem
- Wiggins setting the new hour record, beating Bobridge's one set few months before
- Cancellara will get weaker and weaker all around the season leaving the Ronde to Gilbert and the Roubaix to Vanmarcke
- Kwiatkwoski will take the Amstel Gold Race
- Valverde's and Purito's seasons will both disappoint, with Purito getting old and Valverde never winning a neither a monument nor a WT classic
- In the meantime, a particularly strong Vanendert will take the Fleche Wallonne
- While Daniel Martin will manage not to fall in the last corner of the LBL and will take it in front of Gerrans, that will get stronger and stronger
- Rui Costa's season will disappoint, after a promising podium in the Tour de Romandie, race won by Nibali
- Therefore Nibali will take the Giro as well, in front of a disappointing Contador
- Formolo will be the biggest surprise, taking an incredible 5th place in the Giro
- Cavendish will win the most stages of the Giro
- Froome's season will disappoint quite a lot and he will just win a stage at Dauphinè, race won by Kwiatkowski
- Then, Quintana will prove that he's already the best climber, winning the Tour by a few margin in front of Nibali, which will try its best in the last TT, but because of the short kilometrage won't manage to gain enough.
- Kittel, once again, wins 4 stages in the Tour, Cavendish will win 2 and Sagan 1, winning the Points Jersey another time
- The after tour classics will be dominated by Gerrans that, along with his San Sebastian win, will take Plouay and Canadian classics.
- Eneco Tour will be won by Boasson Hagen, back from 3 disappoiniting seasons
- And Majka and Kwiatkowski will fight for the Tour of Pologne, but the second one will take it
- Degenkolb will win the Vattenfall but will get a lot of 2nd spots, especially in the latest part of the season
- Kittel will race Vuelta winning 3 stages, and Dumoulin, after being closer and closer to Martin in all the TTs before the Vuelta, will defeat him in both the TTs.
- Indeed Martin will get less unbeatable in the TTs after some close Dumoulin battles and some big losses against Wiggins in the earliest part of the season, that after that will focus on the Track Cycling
- So Contador will take another Vuelta in front of an incredible Aru, that before had got a great 3rd place in the Giro, as Nibali's main domestique.
- Kelderman's season will disappoint, with only a top 10 in the Tour.
- Adam Yates will get stronger this year, taking as highlight of the season a 5th place in the Vuelta after a Tour in which he won a Mountain stage with a big breakway win
- The World Championships in Richmond will be won by Sagan in front of a pissed off Cancellara
- And the TT will be really close. Eventually Dumoulin will manage to win it in front of Tony Martin and Wiggins.
I know that I'm perhaps too ambitious, I just wanna see how many will really happen

- A former GT-winner will get caught for doping
- Van Avermaet will ride a podium in RvV before crashing out in Roubaix

Oh man I was gonna say that you're out of your mind and it'd never happen that Basso could win the Giro now but after the Horner-tragedy I just can't say it |

I haven`t expected you to say anything more.
But depening on his early form, which should be quite good as Australian actually, it`s definitely possible.
