The start list looks very promising for my team. Geschke looks like the sprinter to be beaten as he's the only top rider who's good over the hills as well as in the final sprint. A stage win is the minimum goal but the point jersey would be cool, too.
With both Boivin and Saramotins here I should be capable of a good leadout. Let's hope the breakaway doesn't screw us.
Joeaar is our wildcard for the TT and the GC.

Guess stage one won't be too selective, so Geschke should aim for those two first stages. Will be interesting to see, how many gaps we will see prior to the long TT. Zoidl as an obvious pick for the overall GC anyway, but i am cheering for Walker  Hoping for a nice race overall.

I've sent a pretty stacked team here, probably a waste but JTL can get a good stage result and GC top 10, other than that I'm not too sure. Stannard would have to survive the two hill stages first and Rowe well... he is unpredictable I still hope for a few wins here

Could be a decent race for the team. Godoy is on good form, and, in every stage race this season pretty much Borges has performed to the nth degree, so we have to expect something from him.
Hoping for the Uruguayan champ to hang on in the hilly stages and look for a top 5 in the TT. |

Highly anticipated race for us!
First of all we urgently need improve our Asia Tour ranking position. The victory in Armenia could only be a first step in the right direction and Indonesia is a growing market for Vontobel to do business.
Important tasks for the race:
1. Getting Geschke dropped in the two early stages
Reto Hollenstein is still waiting for his first win this season. You won't enter the final kilometre with the German youngster at your side, anyway. Podium bonus seconds can become crucial in the end.
2. Stay dominant till the end
We expect to be strong enough to pretty much dictate the pace in hilly terrain. But protecting the (hopefully) good result right after the timetrial seems equally important. We were outsmarted by breakaways much to often this season.
3. Keep an eye on the strong time trialists among the favourites
...and try to wore them out in the hills. Every weakness of guys like Duggan, Rosskopf or Zoidl should be exploited.

Hoping Moinard can get a good GC result here. He is aggressive on the hills so hopefully he will attack a fair bit. Also hoping for the rest of my team to make te race difficult by riding hard in the breakaways.

Nutresa providing an opportunity to some of our super domestiques to take the reins for a change, with none of our 3 designated captains present. Reward for the efforts of the likes of Fonte and Zabalo who have provided able support throught the season and are well suited to this parcour (fingers crossed). Although we won't be fighting for the overall victory, looking for a solid points haul from our participation here.

As long as Zoidl is my leader for the hilly stages and not Pranata then I think he must be the favourite and if he is then missing the podium would be disappointing.
Hopefully the hilly stages are fairly selective so we can drop the likes of Meyer without being distanced too much by Hollenstein.

As the creator of the Tour of Indonesia, that sort of first stage is quite common. It was designed to weed outthe particularly weak climbers (eg. Stannard) rather than to make a selection, unless someone attacked and made a gap themselves. The second stage should be more competetive, with a bigger selection. However this is definitely a race for the time trial riders, eg. Zoidl.
Sorry to disrupt your man gaming, I just thought it might b a good idea to explain that odd first stage, that was even less selective than usual, and to wish you good luck, although I bet some of you wish you'd know that befoe you sent your top punchers |

Something Ive noticed a bit with Geschke is that he often does not sprint on Hill rated stages with a flat finish, but will sprint on Flat rated stages which have hills in them. Really he should be sprinting on both occasions.

JTL grabbing some bonus seconds which is great! Really hope that stage 2 will be much more selective as we need some time on the other stronger time triallers so that we can secure a top 10

Great job by Marentes taking advantage of the lackluster peloton. Will have to see if he can hold onto this lead.
Azteca will need help on stage 2, I sent a team designed to get wins on stage 4 and 5, and to be in the breakaways on 1 and 2. Not built to hold off the breakaway on the next stage.

Bizarrely Geschke is not even sprinting at all.
Not much more to add 
This stage should have suited him perfectly so it's a shame he didn't sprint. Especially since (as pointed out by Tsmoha) he was in such a good position.
And (as SN pointed out) this already happened far too often.
The last time this happened he returned with a stage win on the next stage and one/two more podiums which made it a good race in the end for us. This will be difficult now though since the next stage has an uphill finish which is not what Geschke suits the best. But looking at the puncheurs here he is propably rated as an outside favourite on that stage so he could decide to counterattack/stick with the favourites which would be cool!
But it is more important for me that Joeaar can stay there, too. If he can manage that, he can get lots of points through the GC..
@Roturn: Didn't you said that Geschke is too strong for PT? Why do you think that this will differently next season?

Nice stage result with Remo Schuler grabbing the young riders jersey as well! Pace needs to be increased a little to get riders like Joeaar or Soto Pereira distanced. TomTom is looking strong, too; Duggan might be a real threat.
JTL seems prepared and we perceived him as our stage 2 favourite (even without having a good hilly team at his side). Reto Hollenstein is well-advised to stay close to the ASDA-rider.
